I still can't figure out why Phil went on the run in the first place. He didn't kill Vincent. Why exactly is he in danger of going to prison here?

same - i think i’ve sort of lost track of this storyline in general though! it is, as someone said upthread, all engineered for steve mcfadden’s standard christmas leave though so maybe it’s not meant to make sense 🤣

of all the things odd about the writing in ee at the moment the lack of aftermath to anything is really getting to me. what even happened to callum last night? did ben walk off and leave him in the hospital?! why have that whole attack scene and then spend most of the next episode on mitch?

He asked Aiden to get rid of Vincent for him but meant to 'warn him off' rather than kill him. Aiden's goons apparently then went too far and murdered him.

Richie said something about mobile phone evidence but we haven't seen it so am not sure what this means.

Yes a whole episode wasted on a shaggy dog story 🙄

Ben is obviously going to get flashbacks from when Paul died - cue Pam popping back to console him.

i love pam so this makes me happy!

however has this show forgotten that callum had a (week long) ptsd storyline a while back? wouldn’t he be struggling too? the show has no clue what to do with callum in general though, i’d include him in that phil rampage that @Lucia mentioned upthread 🤣

Thanks for explaining. I somehow missed this detail completely. I was probably only half watching - as usual!
