Eastenders #18 Take me down to Ian Beales chippy, where the sausage is long and the chips are greasy

I think it’s just when they’re actually put into perspective in real life it’s just hard to even fathom, obviously it’s just a soap so maybe I just read into it to deeply but take Lexi for example, imagine having your maternal and paternal grandparents being related😖

So just wondering if the general consensus here is same as in our house that this whole thing is Adam Woodyatt's big exit stoy line,
like the flash forward he's the dead body, getting his real life bestie Michelle Collins back on the show to give fans one last ever outing of Cindy and Ian it's all the big epic send off storyline kicking into gear now ready for Xmas day ?

It does seem most likely right now.

I think it would have been more impactful to have killed Ian on the boat instead of Denny. It was a special anniversary episode iirc.

I hope they’re not going to do this as it’s so predictable. Ian is already unlikeable but now we’re going to have to watch his awfulness be amped up to infinity so Cindys inevitable affair is justified and that we’re all cheering when he’s killed. It’s lost all momentum and it’s just lazy. I’d rather it be an actual evil character than loser Ian.

Where can I watch the classic episodes?

Drama are currently showing xmas 2003 and I think iPlayer have some later years.

iPlayer have April 2008 - June 2011. They have been dropping a weeks worth of episodes every Monday since 2020 when modern day Eastenders went off air starting with April 2008 and have kept it up for the last 3 years

Saw this on Twitter and thought it was actually quite cute and I like that the writers have developed the friendship between them

When Ian mentioned “the last time I saw you Bobby was hitting you with a stick” about Freddie it did make me wonder if it’s a bit of a foreshadowing and Bobby is going to attack him when he finds out about Anna

I really hope they don't go down the route of Bobby attacking Freddie. It's just not necessary.

Personally I'd still rather see Bobby/Freddie hooking up than fighting over a girl.

Happy Bobby and Freddie's friendship has been a blessed bit of light relief in the show, it'll be a shame to lose it. I don't want Sad Bobby back, Ben has the misery covered enough, thanks.

Jane was far more the witch for covering it up and dumping Lucy in the woods.
Jane was actually a pretty decent person up until that storyline when they ruined her character. It made no sense at all for her to pick up Lucy's body and dump it in a wood when they only had to say that Lucy fell or it was a terrible accident.
I suspect that's why the actress will never return now. There's no coming back from that.
