I really wish they’d show the realities of life - of being an older mum, or a parent of kids with SEN or severe trauma.
We never see how Sharon or Denise feels about being an older mum it, it would be great to see the struggles and benefits they face. They just need stories about real family’s -for example Raymond, -does he even live with Denise, Jack, Amy and Ricky? They never mention him, not even at the family therapy. Why don’t we see them working out how to live as a blended family? It must’ve been a shock to the teenage kids to have to live with a young child (an traumitised orphan at a that!) and adjust. Mick and Mia, have been completely ignored since the Grey storyline, in real life that family would be having so much support and therapy for those poor children, but we see them in the pub every night, Keanu their uncle didn’t even ask about them.
To be honest I prefer that we don't see the kids all the time. They are generally consigned to a cupboard until they are old enough to emerge as petulant troublesome teenagers 🫠

EE is not real life, its a silly soap. They do issue led stories occasionally to look worthy but that's generally the content I'm least interested in. I prefer the adult ridiculousness. I agree that it's odd Karen and Mitch are always in the pub when they have 3 kids to look after (not to mention the missing boys) 😉 but I would find it dull viewing if it really did reflect real life.

this! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

there are so many potentially interesting narratives and storylines in this show that they just skip over - like you say, where is raymond? how are mack and mia coping with the loss of both parents and being turfed out of their home (and also being ignored by whitney and chelsea, who were big parts of their lives after chantelle died)? do the beales ever worry that bobby will kill again or are we assuming he didn’t commit all those violent crimes as a child? does kat ever consider that her over clinginess with tommy is due to him being abducted as a baby? why is whitney so nice to callum when he embarrassed her on their wedding day?

they forget so many past storylines that it’s wild to me. surely someone in the writers room has some kind of history chart?!

I completely forgot Tommy was the baby swap!

I completely forgot Tommy was the baby swap!

i always do too 😂 i do actually think it’s subtle writing on their part that kat is always portrayed as being extremely over-protective of him, which makes sense, but the resolution to that storyline was so poor! i know there’s no need to pick it up again so many years later, but it must have done such a number on kat to (a) think your son had died and then (b) know another woman had been pretending he was her baby for months. and that ronnie continued living on the same street as them all!

(that storyline was so messed up 🤦🏼‍♀️)

Me too! I really liked seeing his caring side around Suki, he genuinely seemed very worried and when he hid the suitcase for her 😍 I thought his speech at the weekend when he won his award was spot on.

Although I have to admit I’m seeing the attraction to Keanooo now. Last nights episode in his vest, then vestless and practically panting with anticipation when Reiss barged in 🥵 hate his chain necklace and him with Sharon, really hope it isn’t him at Christmas but I still think Sharon being in a wedding dress is just to make us think it’s someone connected to her.
I didn’t see the speech what did he say ?

I was just about to post the YouTube clip thank you @Cupid_Stunt

@Pennypennypenny he was very articulate, i liked the way he thanked everyone including the cast for helping make Ravi the character he is. I thought it really hit the nail on the head when he said they wanted Ravi to be a love to hate character (swooning when he said if you love him that’s alright and if you hate him that’s alright too 🤩) because that’s definitely what they’ve achieved. I love him and think he portrays it very well especially when they show a more vulnerable, caring side to Ravi.

Scroll to 3:40 where Aaron is announced the winner and continue from there where he gives his speech

Thank you. He comes across as nice snd humble
