Thanks to @Ktb for the thread title 😀
Most of us are in agreement about that!

Almost as bad as Anita Dobson and her cheesy
Eastenders theme tune song entitled Anyone can fall in love

Hmm I suppose she died off screen so it's not totally beyond the realm of possibility that she didn't actually die. Will be interesting to see how they explain it and why she didn't ever come back to walford or get in touch with any of her four children in 25 years...
She must have went to the same place as Kathy Beale.

Might be true. Might not be. But it's another case of someone talking bad about the dead who aren't around to defend themselves, and staying silent when something if true could have been done about it.

I think Grantham was a nasty piece of work, remember he also went to prison for killing a taxi driver.

Back in the 1980s and 1990s sexism was rife and when women complained they were brushed aside and not taken seriously. I can well believe that he might have been predatory towards her and that he was protected by being an 'EE star'.

I was groped by men on a regular basis in the 1980s when I started working, unfortunately it was commonplace and men knew that they could get away with it in those days. You could complain all you liked but nobody ever did anything about it. I was told on many occasions that I obviously didn't appreciate banter and I should be grateful for the attention. Attitudes were very different to now.

I was just about to post the YouTube clip thank you @Cupid_Stunt

@Pennypennypenny he was very articulate, i liked the way he thanked everyone including the cast for helping make Ravi the character he is. I thought it really hit the nail on the head when he said they wanted Ravi to be a love to hate character (swooning when he said if you love him that’s alright and if you hate him that’s alright too 🤩) because that’s definitely what they’ve achieved. I love him and think he portrays it very well especially when they show a more vulnerable, caring side to Ravi.
I think at the soap awards he showed more of the real him, I'm pretty sure that the open secret of him being gay irl is more out there now and it shows what a great actor he is to be able to play such a macho womanizer when in real life he's more of a creative sensitive bloke 😊

It was removed by the time I saw the thread! Fill me in please?
