Deliciously Ella #4 Bland burgers and branding under CEO Matt, daily affirmations won’t change that

It’s beyond horrendous what they are doing to those girls. You just know they are being brainwashed into thinking they are “mini entrepreneurs” which entails posing for photos just like mummy. No you are using them as cash cows and they are too young to consent.
It quite shocking that Matt and Ella have sunk this low.

They were going to be the next CEO’s of Deliciously Ella until a couple of weeks ago!

Yeah if you look at all the kids who grew up in the limelight, there are very few actual success stories and people who are happy.

I guess Ella needs to move back more into the blogging sphere and find new ways to be relevant. The family influencer trend is several years old and lucrative and she is trying to jump on that bandwagon too.

The gap in the market is allergen-friendly easy meals for children (not babies, but primary age).
Avoiding gluten, dairy, eggs, soya, nuts, sesame as a start, but ideally the top 14 allergens. Speaking as an allergy parent, this would absolutely fly if it were available at a fair price point, and not rammed full of additives.

Yes we're dairy free and it's hard to find nut free for school

It's all a bit odd...selling your name (and the brand you are known for) reminds me of Liz Earle still having her name all over skincare but she has nothing to do with the company now.

Were they cash poor ? So needed to sell?

Her food is rank tbh...she has been largely responsible for this stupid explosion of nut butters...and putting them in everything? And her stuff is so processed and full of oil.

It's a real odd business decision...plants isn't doing well, branding is all over the place.

She needed to take a break/rest reflect then come back instead of trundling on in a market that isn't really seeing much innovation...its just more of the same tbh..

Yes Kate Spade was another brand that ended up with nothing to do with the namesake.

it would make me feel ill having my name used with no say. But I guess it’s all about the money for them

Feels misleading to refer to DE as a partnership.......given they actually just sold it.
Another HR-ified spin on the status of their play business. I do sort of feel bad for her. It's her name. She must be quite haunted by the alternate life she would have had had she continued as a rich kid occasional blogger who could stop whenever she got bored instead of marrying a lizard with a botched nose job who makes her attend an office (something she clearly hates because she complains about it constantly).

Yes and it's not a clean break from the business either, they're still CEO's?

The Deliciously Ella business? It’s hardly ever a “clean break” / “immediate transition of power” when there’s an amicable sale of a business. They will have agreed to stay on as operational CEOs to ensure a smooth handover as part of the sale. They’ll be gone in two years.

Yeah, I kind of feel bad, too. DE would probably still be her baby without Matt. Then again, she’s also a grown woman with kids who needs to take responsibility for her life choices, imo.

The second part - its so true. Honestly it feels like they did what most people in their circles do. Build a company or a career, sell it and then do something else. Ella will probably transition into her countryside housewife role and Matt will enter politics or at least try.
