Regarding the sandwich scene, that didn’t happen as such how ever Jeff would actually cook things for his neighbours and give it to them. It was never proven to be human meat how ever people reckon he did this to get rid of some parts of the bodies and he kept the meaningful parts of his victims to himself. The real neighbour said in an interview she probably did eat human meat

I think night stalker is far more scary because it was totally random. Gacy is quite a niche story and interesting psychologically because he was this trusted guy in the community and his targets trusted him too.

They call these upstanding member of the community offenders and it’s defs a thing! The BTK murderer who is the true crime regular feature I’m most scared of (next is Dahmer - amazed I’ve coped with this tbh), turned out he had a senior position in a church… after decades of not being found he got in touch with the police & sent a floppy disc they traced back to his church.

I read a lot of true crime but I read a book about the BTK murderer years ago and it scared the 💩 out of me!

Honestly I think it’s the fact he hid waiting for people in their homes that freaks me out. I had reservations watching Dahmer cos I remember looking his crimes up after the Katy Perry song (lol) and nearly having a panic attack at my desk it was SO bad, but this series doesn’t go too far into that gore imo. Episode 10 with JGW is gory because you see a drowning which is just horrific.

I read the first comment before that specific scene had come on… and I just didn’t feel for him at all. I did find it bizarre that even in the early 90s they managed to spin up custom merch celebrating him tho, and I didn’t fully understand what that magazine was? Was it a zine he produced or “fan content”?!

Do you guys reckon you’ll watch the JWG series that appears to be following this? Didn’t he mainly murder children? :/ I don’t think I could watch that.
