I’ve had both vaccines, and tested positive for COVID-19. At first I thought I just had a sinus infection / wasn’t getting enough sleep. Then started feeling very achy.

I do daily flow tests due to the environment I work in- they all came back negative. Done a PCR Thursday and it came back positive. Out of interest, I’ve continued to do daily lateral flow tests x2 times daily (clearly I need some isolation hobbies) 😂. They all came back negative- apart from the one I done 10 mins ago. Wonder what the point even is of daily lateral flow tests if they only pick up when you in peak.

I wonder because your symptoms seem mild it might mean you have a low “viral load” which is why the lateral flows didn’t really pick it up. This may also mean you’re not as infectious. Hopefully a sign the vaccines are working even though you did get unlucky.

True, I think it’s because my symptoms are actually worsening. I have very bad body aches /headaches and very sleepy today. But thankfully I’m not in any respiratory distress. Much better in comparison to my partner who is experiencing high temperature / respiratory distress and all the same issues as me.
If these are mild symptoms they are still bad enough for me 😅

Mild as in you’re at home and on tattle - still not nice being ill I know! Get well soon!
 
Just popping on to say I have been out for food and drinks at a pub for the first time since March last year! Went to the beer garden with my mum, stepdad and brother and had a fab time!
Plenty of good food, cocktails and time spent with family ♥️ Had the best night and am now off to bed very tipsy with a smile on my face 😁
P.s 2nd jab on Tuesday 👍🏻

Has he no faith in the jabs either 🤔

The nhs staff thing sounds good - hopefully will lead to less disruption. They would only be allowed to go to work and come home though, so they’re a bit buggered if they run out of petrol or something on the way 😂 Also wouldn’t be all NHS staff, but those who are essential. I’d still have to isolate cos I can sort of do my job from home ☹

So the only difference is they can go to work they can’t socialise outside of those hours?
