Im aware of younger adults having covid parties (like chicken pox parties) so they spread it between themselves and get it over and done with before their holidays
When I hear things like this, I despair. Idiots.

No wonder the NE has the highest rates
Minor observation, been to Aldi and Waitrose this morning, mask wearing approx 50% in Aldi although it was early and there weren't that many people in there, straight to Waitrose and only saw 1 person sans mask so if you don't want to wear a mask but don't want to stand out shop in Aldi

On the bus and everyone except the driver is wearing a mask. Driver no longer behind plastic screen. Don't know what shops are like yet

I have woken up with the sorest throat and feeling very ropey. Would honestly be my luck to get covid on ‘freedom day’ 
Think it’s unlikely to be covid, I’ve done an LFT and I’m waiting for it to develop now (not sure if that’s much good given I have a symptom?) Probably just a good old fashioned cold

I had similar to this mid last week (sore throat, a bit snuffly, generally feeling not great) and got a PCR - it was negative. Fairly certain mine was just a bad summer cold. Better to get the test and know just.

“Freedom” day is here. Does that mean people will finally stop whinging about masks? The vaccine is not mandatory either. Can we move on now?

I would get a proper PCR test. My partners LFT were all coming back negative and so were mine up until yesterday. I’m just waiting for my results of my PCR.
I felt fine yesterday but today I’ve woken up and feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, feel like I have a real bad case of flu

I think that's the government's plan . Get everyone to be at risk of catching it while school is closed anyway, and it is likely people have some annual leave from work booked in .Im aware of younger adults having covid parties (like chicken pox parties) so they spread it between themselves and get it over and done with before their holidays

Made me chuckle that the people doing an emergency B&Q run at eight in the morning are men in their twenties
Seems a lot of people are not wearing masks which isn't a surprise because it's too warm and uncomfortable for them. As I said last week by the time kids go back to school in September you will barely see a mask. Bit by bit over the next six weeks you will see them less and less.

Just had a casual walk around my local Sainsburys, the majority are wearing masks. I saw 3/4 that were not. Couple of workers included. Seems like it will vary wherever you go.
