Most have been jabbed though, that’s facts. It’s the minority that haven’t, so those vaccinated just show a QR code and get on.

People may go out more if they think unvaxxed aren’t there, they may have more confidence 🙃

You can phone for a paper copy!

It may be facts, doesn't make it any less crappy. I appreciate many vaxxed people are happy to treat people who aren't like second rate citizens, but I'm certainly not one of those people. It's a really sad bleeping society we are living in when so many people are happy to take someone's freedom to make decisions on their own health away from them. Really sad to see so many people proud to class themselves as one of those people.

I truly believe one day all the people who are so happy for this, will have health freedom's taken away from them that they don't agree with. And I would be very interested to see if those same people finally see how they have treated people against the vax.

Health status to get into a bleeping shop. Welcome to dystopia. Kiss goodbye to 'normal', it's gone.

Asking for proof of a recent negative LFT is a false sense of security… like everything really. We are already relying on people being honest. There’s absolutely nothing stopping people getting a pack of tests, doing every single one in one go when they are negative and then using those negative tests to log their covid status over a period of weeks. I know it does make people feel safer but having a negative LFT to get into an event probably doesn’t actually mean anything - especially when you consider how easy it is to fake a result.

Also I’m wondering if CEV people have to return to work in the hospitality/entertainment industries (I’ve seen many are non willing to use the vaccine passports etc ) will the business be forced to implement them as on the Gov site it says employers have a duty to protect these people or they can take action against them 🤷🏼‍♀️

There is always fraud and always be. Doesn't mean we never need rules.
You don't make taxes disappear because some people cheat.

Bit confused aren’t people who aren’t vaccinated going to be being careful and isolating where they can anyway? I’m not vaccinated yet so doing online shopping and avoiding things best I can until I’m vaccinated. I don’t really see what the issue is?

You seriously think everyone who isn't vaccinated is just *waiting* to be and that noone isn't avoiding it by choice? Have you been living under a rock? I know it's apparently incredibly hard for people to grasp, but there are actually plenty of us who oddly enough aren't comfortable with an experimental vaccine that is still undergoing clinical trial with complete freedom from responsibility. Oh and for a virus with a 99%+ survival rate. Strange, I know.

So France are keeping these measures long term as Ireland have said it will be a sort term thing.

But then are you not worried about the virus?

Yes I know but they’re saying the protection doesn’t last hence the boosters, so you keep your passport for life regardless of top ups ?
It's supposed to be temporary as an incentive to get the jab. The point is to have enough people vaccinated, herd immunity probably and avoid further lockdowns.
Since May 31st, vaccination is opened to every adults (and the kids 12-17 since June 15th) and it was successful but now it slows down and the Delta is starting to grow too.

Question though because I don’t know enough about discrimination laws.

It seems like people want being unvaccinated to be viewed like a protected characteristic and therefore you cannot be stopped from doing anything based on vaccine status. Does being unvaccinated by choice count as a protected characteristic? It’s not the same as the others I can think of, all of which people are born with or cannot help.

Are there other protected characteristics where the person has chosen it?

Obviously it’s a different argument where the person cannot be vaccinated for health reasons.

It isn't protected nor likely ever will be. Although I won't ever change my mind that someone's right over their own bodies and right to choose what healthcare we do or don't have, should absolutely be something that is protected. But seems we live in a world where we don't choose to be born, can't choose to die and can't have any autonomy in between.

Does anyone know why when I log in to my nhs app to view vaccine status it shows both vaccines but says valid until August this year?

I feel like it works both ways. Do you believe that doctors and nurses should have the right to not put themselves at risk and to refuse treatment to people who chose not to have the vaccine dispite knowing the risks then going to crowed places and catch COVID?
