This is how I was feeling but you’ve put it a lot better than I ever could. Of course people should be allowed to stand up for what they believe in and have free speech but having massive crowds who are often speaking a lot of nonsense (anti mask wearers, Covid is a conspiracy etc) are not really helping the situation when we are supposed to be social distancing and trying to be sensible.
Well we're all making SACRIFICES ffs from businesses closing to not being able to see family and much, much more ...but it should be acceptable if the gatherings are under the word protest🤷‍♀️ SACRIFICE is a bigger word in the "new normal" IMO

We're going to have to have another lockdown of sorts and people will simply have to follow guidelines - no exceptions.

* Makes note to self to make urgent hair appointment just in case *
I just missed out on getting my hair done before the first lockdown, it honestly made it so much harder to deal with with all the greys and split ends...ended up having to let my husband cut it 🙈

My hairdresser couldn't fit me in til November!! I haven't had it cut since February! I have gone from a super short bob to shoulder length now...

I’m not the original poster but banning protests is a big no no in democratic countries. I don’t think I need to elaborate on why it’s bad to ban protests- freedom of speech/ expression etc to say the least.

I don't think anyone wants to ban freedom of speech. The problem is freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences. The consequences of these protests is that it's potentially increasing the spread of the virus.

I had my annual microblading touch up early for my brows. They were such a sorry state by the end of the last lockdown. I want them in a good state for going into the next one 😂

I am absolutely howling... It's lovely to see we've all got our priorities in order 🤣

Everyone else: Must get pasta and toilet roll before the next lockdown

Tattle: Must get my face and hair sorted 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I don’t think anyone does want to limit freedom of speech but banning all protests in my view is a step too far. If protests were banned in say March I don’t think the BLMers back in June(?) would have appreciated that very much.

Yeah I agree there are consequences to these protests but people still have the right to express anger at the gov through protest. I live in a country where ALL protests are banned so know it’s not a good idea 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also Kayleigh McEnany has tested positive, ffs it’s a mess there 🙄

Kayleigh with the wonderful hair
It is my fervent wish that in my next life I return as someone with that kind of association to their name. I think it’s quite likely that I’m either:

Caitlin with the frizzy split ends,or

Caitlin with the dry scalp, that definitely isn’t dandruff, but still doesn’t endear her to anyone.

Kayleigh might be ill, but she has great hair so really she is winning at life eh ladies? *sob*

ROI set to reject the health advice and move to level 3 according to news reports 🤷‍♀️

We’re fucked.
Mehole rejecting the advice of the experts is not going to end well for anyone, do I want level 5 restrictions, fuck no!
but there is no “winning” in this, we are eventually going to be pushed into a lockdown if cases continue, and now the government have made NPHET the enemy, there’s now a celebration like we’ve “won” something, there are no winners in this, everyone is fucked.
We’re all fucked 😐

October half term is it 2 weeks this year?

There’s been a case in my daughters school, in year 7, they’ve sent the year group home for 2 weeks. I feel very uneasy. My daughter is in year 10.

No 1 week here (Cornwall) although a council run primary school about 20 minutes from me announced last Friday that they are having a 2 week break for October half term and children will be working from home in one of those weeks. They said they've told parents now so they can organise childcare, which makes me think others locally will be following them.

Quoting myself, (what a weirdo!). I've just checked some of the other schools in that area and they've all sent the same letter out. Secondary and Primary. They've said they need time to deep clean, ready for the winter months 😷
Surely they should be deep cleaning every week/end of the day.
Waiting for our schools to send the same email out now as they do like to climb aboard the bandwagon!

My friend and I said we thought this would happen too. We have one week but wouldn’t be surprised if they extended it for a week.

We’ve both had emails today to advise of how home learning would work if needed - separate schools in different counties in East Midlands.
