Can someone talk me down please? Husband has come down with cold / flu symptoms - blocked nose, tired, headache. Last 24 hours. No cough or temperature. I’m panicking.

Just yesterday my friend said to me there is a lot more to this than we are getting told , they claimed a war between uk china and Russia.... I dismissed the claim .... now I'm like s*** !!!!

Not sure where you’re from & I haven’t read the rest of the thread but yes this is true in our hospital. 3 portacabins attached to our morgue. 😬
 
Are you all still popping to shops for essentials? My husband has asthma and I have some health issues but we’re trying to stay home as much as we can. Each time anyone has to go out (only if necessary to a small shop) my anxiety soars and I’m counting the days after to see if they get symptoms. We need toilet tissue, down to our 3rd to last roll, no online shop for over 2 weeks, but I’m too afraid to even pop to a small co op or spar locally.

The advice is to treat it as you would a cold usually and see how he gets on, plenty of rest and fluids and paracetamol if he has a temperature. He doesn't have a temperature or cough so that's a positive. Panicking will worry the both of you. Let us know how he gets on...I think there is a 'should I self isolate' thread that might be more insightful with symptoms. Hope he feels better soon x

Apparently there is speculation Russia have been spreading disinformation on SM about the virus to engender panic. Very strange how little information there is from there about numbers having it.

(I must stop reading Harry Potter. At the beginning of The Half Blood Prince the Prime Minister is told a lot of unexplained strange things happening in Britain were because of Voldemort and the dementors. I now see oddness, conspiracy theories and a malign hand everywhere 👀).

up to 60% of people infected, or infectious, have no symptoms, or very mild symptoms. He said none of these people have been tested & hopefully they are at home.

work is underway developing those tests, which will establish if you have developed antibodies to COVID-19 (meaning you had been infected at some stage). They will be valuable tests but not generally available yet.

Once you have had the virus, you don’t get it again, experts say. The robustness of the immunity after getting it is still being examined. Lot of work underway on developing antibody tests, which will show if you were ever infected by COVID-19.

So for those of us who are pissing about on the internet not yet (hopefully never!) diagnosed with the corona, we could find out if we had it at one point 😐
I want one. I thought I wanted a Nintendo switch because of social media but I now want a corona test.

Apparently there has been a Russian plane in our airspace as well and the RAF forced them to change course.

Putin is using the pandemic as an excuse to push NATO countries’ buttons to see what their responses are like. He will then exploit the weaknesses later. As if we didn’t have enough to worry about! 🙄

My friend usually pays £35 per month to park.
I bet they are all rejoicing at this wonderful “perk” whilst many non key workers are behaving like they’re on an extended holiday with 80% pay! 🙄

(bad choice of words considering) but I bleeping want one.
Can I afford one... nope!
Did I need it before everyone else had one... nope!
Do I bleeping know what an animals crossing is... do 👏I 👏duck.

yet I can think of nothing else, I need one more than I need anything right now 😐

Our downstairs neighbour called this morning and said my kids are welcome to use the garden (it’s his, comes with his flat). Says he never uses it so it may as well get some use and I’m free to use it however I please. Whether it’s because he is genuine or he’s getting sick of the sound of my kids running around upstairs, I’m so grateful!!

I have some good neighbours 💗
