I'm maybe over thinking it but I'm starting to think that the letter that Stephen gave to Sarah could also be fake. It gives Stephen something to hold over Sarah now. So I think that Adam is actually the Father but Sarah believes it is Damon and Stephen will use this to his advantage, maybe over the factory.

But if Adam was the father it would have said that on the letter that was delivered in yesterday’s episode and Stephen wouldn’t have needed to forge and change the details on it

I didn't think of that I think I am just looking too much into it. I'm still taking points for suggesting that Stephen would have something to do with the letter turning back up though haha. Just a shame it wasn't the angry bin rage that I originally suggested.

I don’t think the letter Adam opened was the one Stephen copied , I think Steven got the real one which says Adam or used the torn up one and made a new copy that says Damon which he has kept for himself as he will hold it over Sarah to blackmail her in the future.

I think Steven did it "for Sarah", in his eyes it's a clever thing to do and he said the other episode he was trying to be a "better person". I think he's actually fond of Sarah-Lou (she worked in Milaaaaan with him all those years ago). His idea of "doing a good thing" is not exactly normal.
