Carrie Hope Fletcher #49 Whoring her book to someone who's dying, doesn't get why that's mortifying

Perhaps. I’d imagine they’d tag it as #gifted had it been pre-arranged. From my (limited) experience with influencer types irl it’s not totally unheard of to tag a place in the hopes they’ll give you a freebie or a voucher for next time you go.
And this is all pure speculation, maybe 2023 is a year of personal growth and they didn’t even angle for a freebie at all. (Unlikely 😂)

Editing to add: I just took another look at their joint account to see what sort of engagement their posts get and I’m legitimately shocked that the live they did together has over 76,000 views. Would love to see a breakdown showing how many views came from dedicated fans and how many were people who wouldn’t otherwise engage with their content but were (like a lot of us) morbidly curious and wanting to see how they’d try to sell their ‘love story’.

Marrying a creepy rebound has completely revived Carrie's dead social media pages. She's sparking more intrigue than she ever did when she was with Oliver. Tbh, I personally stopped watching her around the time of the Pete to Oliver transition - she went from a somewhat wholesome girl who attempted creativity to this weird lovesick puppy who couldn't stop talking about how she has the sexy sex, alluding she has the sexy sex with Oliver, and snapping at anyone who inquired about if they're dating. (In retrospect, she was snapping probably cuz she was angry that Oliver wouldn't actually date her for so long)

Ladies and gents. THIS is what you pay for...save your money, go buy a gin&tonic.

I agree, it is weird how much she "rebranded" herself during the transition from Pete to Oliver. Obviously everyone changes with time, but I feel like with her it was stark. She was always hesitant to even admit to drinking alcohol while with Pete, she was the girl who stayed at home reading and drinking tea. Then with Oliver she was suddenly drinking constantly and started doing things like performing their "butt love" dance in vlogs.

Now with Joel the rebranding seems to revolve around quirky grandma vibes, and wearing unflattering, clashing clothes on purpose because it's ~fun~. (And crocheting weird-looking, clashing scarves because they're ~happy~). And I think I find this latest iteration of Carrie the least genuine. I can buy that she was genuinely a bit of a bookworm with Pete, and that with Oliver she actually went through a bit of a "University" phase, like she put it, and was trying to be more adult. With Joel it just feels like she's acting way older than she actually is. Like she thinks because she's 30 and "settling down" now she needs to act really serious and stop trying to be cool or stylish.

Yea she overcorrected, going from sexy vixen, realizing it didn't work and Oliver didn't love her, to thinking hey well I guess I'll just embrace my inner frump

Like why in god's name would anyone pay money for this drivel. Her normal SM is dull as dishwater so what is worth paying for? Unless she breaks up with no neck Shrek and posts daily videos detailing all the red flag behaviour, then it ain't worth tit.

Haha can you imagine. One day it turns out all of this cringe posting about her dysfunctional relationship was just a ploy to gather lots of attention, so that she could host a highly anticipated "live breakup livestream". Only 25 pounds per person to watch her dump her fiancée. That would be a genius business move.

Agree though. Imagine paying money for someone's hand mirror selfie.

If she had any kind of social media business brain then she'd use the subscription service for exclusive backstage content, giveaways and maybe performances with her one of her "many many" friends in musical theatre.
Not mindless idiotic selfies and lacklustre singing
I was thinking the other day, why don't Carrie and Joel record some duets together? I know she does that with every boyfriend, but she also goes to Disney with each of them, so who cares. There is potential for content from them that doesnt involve convincing the world that theirs is the greatest love story of all time. But I genuinely think that Carrie has zero interest in Joel and what he has to offer, beyond him making her his wife and her winning the post-breakup olympics against Oliver.

Maybe she's thinking ahead to when she'll have to delete all the duet videos off youtube and pretend Joel didn't happen.

This might sound kinda random but bear with me. About a year ago or so I listened to an audiobook narrated by Carrie, it's called The lucky escape. I can't remember much of it because I listen to audiobooks every day, but I saw it in my reading list and read the summary again. And I wonder if Carrie drew some inspiration. It's about a woman that was dumped by Mr Right (at the altar but let's forget that bit), then meets an old friend who reminds her of who she used to be and starts saying yes to every opportunity. 😂😂😂 Kinda like Carrie dumped by Ollie, meeting old pal Joel and saying yes to him and everything he asks, including asking her to marry him. 😂😂

Why doesn’t she use the subscription as her “tell-all?” She’s been alluding to writing one for ages, and instead of making meaningful content for her subscribers, she just does the same thing on her regular insta.

No need for bets. Carrie's already posted that she got dumped on the 14th of January. 13th of August 2022, she posted a photo on Insta of her and Scott, and wrote that it was taken on the 16th of January and that she had been dumped two days before (So, Friday the 14th of Jan). According to my Instagram, it says that her "crap kept from shows" was on the 13th of January. So she was dumped the day after that video was posted.
Maybe it's the time difference as I am in Australia - it was already 14th of Jan here? Who knows.
Also, I clearly don't pay much attention hahaha - but thank you :D

Imagine being 364 days out of the hardest break up of your life, and using that day to pick up wedding rings with another guy…

Also: people who think they can/will 'wait' for their first anniversary are sorely mistaken! It's not true love if you don't get married within the first 10 months of a relationship. But us poor peasants wouldn't know, because we don't have the same sPeCiAl and uNiQuE relationship that these two idiots do..
