Oh I meant to comment on this before but forgot

Absolutely can't believe she blew off the winner of that tea competition for so long!!! She went on about "our schedules didn't line up" but when someone enters a raffle with the expectation of receiving a tea with an author, they probably are willing and able to block off different weekends for it. I'm sure our grifter Freebie was out here blowing off the winner for another one of her 8 course meal dates with Shrek.

Seeing this has reminded me of something I posted years ago. I’m going to post it again as we’ve had so many new members recently but it’s so true, she gives zero fucks about her fans.

Years ago I was in a show with a girl who was around 12/13 and played one of the children professionally in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Carrie. This was the girls professional debut and she was understandably over the moon and excited. She went round and asked the cast to leave a message in her programme and have a photo to which everyone except Carrie agreed saying she was far too busy and would take a group photo with all the children on the last night. After the last show Carrie actually left early and completely ignored her and avoided all the children so she didn’t have to have photos with any of them. It especially surprises me as she, as we’ve heard a million times, was a child in Chitty and I thought she’d relate to how excited they were on the start of their theatre journey ☹️

The same teenager she ignored is currently doing her degree at a top drama school so I hope if by some miracle Carrie is ever cast again, they find themselves in the same show so she can tell everyone how bleeping rude Carrie was 🤣

I thought the same - you’re right, in the beginning, she’s just smoothing her dress. But I watched again and, at the end (where Joel is filming the lobster), you can see her leaning to the side of her seat in the corner, and she’s defo on her phone lol.

Though, if we’re being really fair, she may have just been waiting to take a picture herself.
 
I found out I have a very weird connection to Carrie today

My boyfriend's friend works at the opticians Tom went to when he had uveitis 🤣
Whether said friend actually saw him or not I don't know.

It is very much a stretch but I just thought it was funny 😅

I did also end up explaining to my other half why I didn't like Carrie anymore and couldn't really explain it very well 😬 I ended up just saying I don't like her behaviour on social media lol.

Or they called ahead to make sure they could exchange a free meal for a shout-out on SM. Find it difficult to believe they'd tag them only in the hopes of maybe possibly getting something.

Perhaps. I’d imagine they’d tag it as #gifted had it been pre-arranged. From my (limited) experience with influencer types irl it’s not totally unheard of to tag a place in the hopes they’ll give you a freebie or a voucher for next time you go.
And this is all pure speculation, maybe 2023 is a year of personal growth and they didn’t even angle for a freebie at all. (Unlikely 😂)

Editing to add: I just took another look at their joint account to see what sort of engagement their posts get and I’m legitimately shocked that the live they did together has over 76,000 views. Would love to see a breakdown showing how many views came from dedicated fans and how many were people who wouldn’t otherwise engage with their content but were (like a lot of us) morbidly curious and wanting to see how they’d try to sell their ‘love story’.
