That’s my town and yes I would agree that’s the closest. We have our food bank though, and olio is pretty active in the area so not sure how Carlz has got it.

Frustrated with the limitations of a CIC, yet thousands of other community organisations and non-profit making events get on very well with them? There is an annual folk festival near me, that is run as a CIC. Lots of things are.

Giving up on the allotment with the council, even though Elder Colin has managed perfectly well, without a £250k cash injection as well?

Absolute mess and every time she announces something she just makes it worse.

That's wrong. The asset lock only applies when the CIC is wound up. CICs that are running can donate profits to charity.

ETA: The assertion that the asset lock cannot be changed is incorrect.

ETA2: That line about audited accounts is pure delay bullshit.

Also it would be smashing to know who exactly "we" and "us" are. Wayne? Donna? Ashley? The lads? The drivers? Whiskers?

Her financial year is about to come to an end. She will know on 30 April how much money is left. There is no need to wait until the filing deadline of January 2025 to decide what to do next. By then almost an entire year will have gone and she'll be about to file another set of accounts. She thinks people are idiots.
