Bridgerton

I thought they would at least have given Colin some stubble after some sort of adventure somewhere. How is he going to suddenly fall for Penelope then? is she going to be caught out in the rain going a bit see through to make Colin thinks 'duck me, where have you been all my life!'?

According to the synopsis, she wants to get married and he tries to help her get a husband and suddenly he realises that he actually likes her.

And none for poor Benedict, got it :( (I’ve never read the books and thought Benedict was supposed to be at least bi in season 1; but book readers have told me his actual story, so that was a tease 🙄). I doubt this show will go beyond a fourth season tbh.
Benendict’s book was my least favourite of all the books but he is my most favourite to watch on tv 😍
GIVE HIM HIS SERIES! 😆

So in the books, it doesn't mention ANYTHING about him being bi or gay. I think he walked in on that gay scene in season 1 and didn't judge the men for it, and people assumed he was bi or gay. Maybe they'll make him that but m, IF they did his story in season 4, and made him bi then fall in love with the person he does in the books, it won't make sense. They've not shown him with a man, all these is, is fan speculation. They'd really need to build up to him having a relationship with a man and they haven't. Apparently he'll be a vital part of season 3, but I think they'll just run his story alongside others at most. If they want go make him gay or bi, they need to properly build up to that and explore it much more than just season 3. Because him walking in in two men having sex and not judging them for it, doesn't scream "he likes men" to me. He's only ever been with women.

His story is lovely in terms of how he meets Sophie and how they support each other etc. But he also asks her to be his mistress and keeps asking despite her refusing and he blackmails her to get her to london so he can keep asking her. That's realistic for men of that era but now, people won't like that so they'll probably have to change that. Maybe that's the dark storyline they changed, as Sophie is almost gang attacked in it (not by him).

Either way. Season 4 will be Eloise or Francesca. It says Eloise finds friendship in an unlikely place. That's how she meets her future husband, his wife dies and she becomes his pen pal I believe.

Edited to add I've tried to put a spoiler, but I can't see if I've done it right, just looks normal to me.

Yeah he's not likeable in most of the book BUT if they don't make him pester her, it would be such a good story. Colin is a right sleeze in his books.

Is this where you discuss the Queen Charlotte series or does it have its own thread?
I want to ask a question about a scene in the last episode. I’m not sure which way we meant to take it and was curious about what other people thought.

This is about the final episode so I put it in a spoiler
The paper birthday hats

when lady B puts them all out on the mantelpiece.

Is she trying to show approval that she knew Lady D was in love with her dad

Or was it some kind of boundary and showing she wanted to indicate disapproval or ‘ownership’ of her father?

Or was it intentionally ambiguous?

I couldn’t read it well. Especially when lady D then says keep them out they are cheerful and the mood seems to ease.

Can you tell me what you thought please?

(sorry this is badly written my phone is so tit right now. There is a huge lag in typing and the writing)

I took it to mean she knew about her and her father and she accepted it.
