Everyone was so invested in their romance and then he just disappeared, they may as well have killed him off! I think I’d prefer they killed him off 😂😭 it just doesn’t seem right he’s just mentioned
 
They'll both have to be seen in different lights for the story of them getting together to be taken seriously. Maybe Penelope has a minor glow up then a guy shows an interest which allows Colin to begin to see her differently. She could then have some sort of illness or accident so have to take to her bed for a while (like with Jane in Pride and Prejudice) and he will suddenly see her as a love interest.

On the other hand, I have no idea what they can do to make Colin attractive. He's just so mediocre. He can't go away and come back as a stud either as he's already been around the world. He'll just have to grow a beard and hope for the best.

I guess I'm not that excited (never read the books, sorry) because Penelope has already taken up so much screen time in season 1 and 2, and the second season in particular really put me off the character. Same with Colin who is just so, so boring imho. Season 3 better be sensationally written for these two, or include lots of scenes of Anthony and Kate.

Edit: as for the Duke...I think production really didn't think this through when they let RGP sign on for only one season. He claims that both he and Shonda think they left off the character in a good place with that season 1 ending, thus there is no need for the Duke to return or something. I guess they really want to pretend that Daphne raises her son on her own and that her husband is too busy to go even to his friend's wedding who also happens to be his brother in law :cool:

They really fucked phoebe dynevor over casting Rege it impacts all her storylines now. Plus its such a running joke “where’s your baby daddy” how many times can this so called redeemed family man miss every Bridgerton event???
 
I just hope for lots and lots of Kanthony in season 3 (seeing as how much screen time Eloise and Penelope get in other people‘s seasons) but I have a dreadful feeling that we won’t get to see them as much. I bet Pen and Colin will get more scenes than Daphne and the duke and Kate and Anthony in their seasons combined :/

Well he got loads of brand deals and gets invited to lots of events. That’s all I know :D
 
Haven’t they invented several new characters for season 3 too? I saw it in the DM and not a single one of them was good looking🤷‍♀️. They're getting further and further away from the books it seems. It’s not that the books are so great they can’t be changed, but I think that now I’ve read them I can’t see that the changes have brought anything better to the series. If RGP doesn’t come back I’m not renewing my Netflix subscription....well maybe for the sexy French dude from Emily in Paris.

They could easily recast Simon, especially if he's not in it very much. It does become a tad silly when he doesn't show up for anything.
 
To be fair, all they need really is someone quite like him who they can have milling around in the background/with his back to the camera/playing with the kid etc, and bish bash bosh. Like has been mentioned, very unconvincing as a family man if he’s removed entirely from daphnes family.
A recast would make most sense imo, but you’d get loads of rabid fans complaining that he isn’t the saaaaaame etc.

ahahaha the bish bash bosh sent me! in the witcher they only brought the Queen calanthe (Jodhi may) back for flashbacks and eist (Björn Hlynur Haraldsson) they used a rando! and put some curly hair and the same clothes on him it was so obvious and ridiculous he faced a wall for the entire scene! thets CGI the numpty!!
