Bridgerton

Am I the only one who thinks she dresses really unflattering? Her arms look really short here, she looks like a kid! I'm not keen on Nicola, can't pinpoint why I just get weird vibes about her

I mean I literally said “plus size / curvy” 😅 And someone can be great looking while also being plus size. Lookin great is not reserved for skinny people.

Oh sorry I didn’t think you meant she didn’t look good. I was just saying in general I think she looks great. But she is a lot smaller in person.

I’m a size 20 and I think I look fabulous most of the time so definitely not a skinny thing 😂 sorry I didn’t explain myself properly

I like what she wears, she opts for fun things rather than flattering things/things technically meant for her shape and height, but deffo agree that sometimes the clothes wear her rather than the other way round.
She’s going to have to pull off some serious acting chops to be seen as a romantic lead though. I can’t see it at all.

Plus size? Maybe she photographs oddly but I’ve seen her in person and plus size she isn’t. I always think she looks great but I’m not always sold on her acting ability.
Oh she is definitely plus size ! Of course she is. She's fat and her shortness has nothing to do with it.
I am not saying it's right or wrong. I am 1,60 m and a uk size 20, so also short and fat and fabulous😂

I think a lot of girls/women could identify precisely because she's not the typical screen beauty and the man she loves ignores her and probably will start taking interest in her, maybe jealousy... (sorry, I didn't read the books).
Hope the storyline is good though. In the s2, I didn't enjoy both chsracters a lot...

Aw I really like Colin. He’s misunderstood 😂😂

Yeah I wasn't convinced either of their overall chemistry so far. It's been a lot of desperation from her and lots of boring dumbness from him. He's definitely my least favorite Bridgerton brother and little Gregory's only had five lines so far, so..
I guess I'm not that excited (never read the books, sorry) because Penelope has already taken up so much screen time in season 1 and 2, and the second season in particular really put me off the character. Same with Colin who is just so, so boring imho. Season 3 better be sensationally written for these two, or include lots of scenes of Anthony and Kate.

Edit: as for the Duke...I think production really didn't think this through when they let RGP sign on for only one season. He claims that both he and Shonda think they left off the character in a good place with that season 1 ending, thus there is no need for the Duke to return or something. I guess they really want to pretend that Daphne raises her son on her own and that her husband is too busy to go even to his friend's wedding who also happens to be his brother in law

I mean… he definitely had selfish bastard tendencies in the first place but our daph was slapping away those red flags at an alarming rate 😂 he’s staying true to form, clearly!

I mean he is mentioned and a lot of ppl who have read the books say he isn’t in them either but if daphne is in it she may as well have a new onscreen husband ? Just seems a shame to phase the character out when series 1 was so focused on him. I don’t see why they can’t replace him as RGP has made it clear he’s done with it?

He’s not in the books much at all. But seeing as they’re not really sticking to the books in so many ways it would have made sense to give the Duke and Daphne more screen time and a bit of an ongoing storyline. The Featheringtons are barely in the books, apart from Pen, and they’ve got loads going on!
I think they would have been better off having this next season as Benedict’s story and building up to Pen and Colin’s romance. I think it’s too soon for such a big change in Colin’s feelings. It’s not much time to go from ‘I would never dream of courting Penelope’ to falling in love with her. 🤔

I think as everyone else is shown they should recast him. Like you say the fetheringtons they had a big story in series 2. I wonder why they didn’t chose Benedict this time? I quite like Colin so I’m not bothered but it does seem random considering he more or less friend zoned her any chance he got

I suppose the issue is that RPG was so popular they would be big shoes to fill, but I’m sure they could have found someone! Everyone was so invested in their romance and then he just disappeared, they may as well have killed him off! He is referenced in the books so you don’t miss him as much, but on screen the absence is obviously much more noticeable.
