These claims have been shown to be spurious. Standing by the original claims is an actual sign of madness at this point.
Initial concern made sense. But now it is quitr obvious that the supposedly illegal conduct does not appear to have happened.
 
Someone needs to come with receipts now don’t they because as far as I can see, this whole things is MUCH easier for the BBC & police if Huw is innocent. I mean, wouldn’t want another n to add to their tally would they, nor would either want it coming out they ignored something massive… similarly, the sun already have the worst rep and could do to redeem it slightly and do have it in for the bbc…. So now, one of them, needs to PROVE what they are saying. For me, until one does, I stand by no smoke without fire. Don’t want anyone to lose their life over this, but I also don’t want someone to get off Scott free because they’re Ill 🤔

Have a quick re-read of my post as I didn't say that. I said we don't know the facts to say whether he has exploited a vulnerable person or not. The person in question clearly doesn't feel so as they have gone on record to say so.

OK why is there loads of empathy for Huw who is a rich privileged man compared to the old homeless man with schizophrenia who has completely lost touch with reality? It's all about mental health but the right kind of mental health high functioning depressive. There's still no sympathy for the most mental ill people , depression is fashionable I have a diagnosis of endogenous depression yet I've know right from wrong and I in no way can compare my struggles to someone with psychosis or mania. I've no doubt he has his issues but let's face it he's not catatonic and probably hasn't been dragged away in an ambulance under section.

You see, this is where I struggle with the “repressed sexuality” portrayal of Huw. The BBC especially is very DEI and has been for years. Many honchos and execs in the journalism and tv industry are gay. Huw may not have needed to announce his preferences, after all it’s no one’s business, and he would’ve undoubtedly been in company and accepted as a gay man in work.

Even the argument that it’s the public that would’ve had issue with him being gay is hollow - we’re rainbowed out every single day and in this day and age there are many gay public figures. Many people are surprised that he has a wife.

I knew he was gay/bi ages ago because he’d approached one of my (legal age, but young looking and straight) male friends on social media. I’d also been at a party where another man had claimed to have slept with him.

I assumed he was maybe having a bit of an internal struggle because of his Christian beliefs and didn’t think it was a huge deal. I fully felt he had a right to privacy to explore his sexuality.

Recent revelations have changed my viewpoint quite significantly.

It’s really easy for the sun to use this and claim it’s a fundamental BBC issue. It’s in their interest. They won’t apologise despite the met saying nothing illegal has taken place. huw is to my mind a victim of this, a pawn, as is the “teenager” from the first story.
 
If a depressed, closeted newsreader, sharing saucy photos online with somebody over the age of consent is the main story on our evening news, then it can't be that bad. Try looking at USA news to see how awful things can get, with mass shooting incels, people brainwashed to be scared and paranoid about AI, dumbed down people by the talentless celeb industry so over patriotic, they will support any war, and virtually every day there's another man who has killed his wife and children, while the most mentally medicated people in the world chant they're the greatest.

100%. The testimony (?) of the mother/step father is already called into question as the person in question was over 18 when the photos started (as confirmed by the police) so it’s not a reach to believe they are lying about other things.

Now he’s been removed from the workplace I think that has maybe enabled staff members to speak out. I definitely do not think they are making it up, I believe whatever his colleagues are saying will be genuine.

I agree it’s deffo in the suns interest. It’s also in the bbc and police interest to state this is all nonsense. Hence why I say we need someone to give receipts
