What are peoples thoughts on his colleagues reporting making official allegations that he is inappropriate at work? I'm intrigued to know people's opinions because I can personally see a pattern emerging and things unravelling.

I think a lot more will come out tbh. I think his career is likely over. From what I knew before the scandal broke, he was behaving pretty recklessly.

Here's some facts depression usually does not take away capacity. Unless someone has features of psychosis/ mania/ some kind of organic brain disorder they know right from wrong.

This!!! Please people, I have suffered terribly from depression and PTSD for many years. Before and since I got ill, I didn’t find children attractive. I have worked with children throughout my adult life. Many vulnerable children. I have never tried to abuse anyone, mentally or physically. Because I am not a bleeping monster.

I agree it’s deffo in the suns interest. It’s also in the bbc and police interest to state this is all nonsense. Hence why I say we need someone to give receipts

The bbc yes, but the police how?

If a depressed, closeted newsreader, sharing saucy photos online with somebody over the age of consent is the main story on our evening news, then it can't be that bad. Try looking at USA news to see how awful things can get, with mass shooting incels, people brainwashed to be scared and paranoid about AI, dumbed down people by the talentless celeb industry so over patriotic, they will support any war, and virtually every day there's another man who has killed his wife and children, while the most mentally medicated people in the world chant they're the greatest.

Think about the things not being covered…

A major NATO conference is currently happening.

An EX-PM (Cunty BJ) has yet against refused to hand over his WhatsApp messages to the Covid enquiry.

EX-chancellor, George Osborne has also been accused of rape.

Nope, nothing more important that should be leading the news than a closeted news reader sending unwise but not illegal messages.

good old whataboutism has entered the chat😂

Prove this then come back. You have nothing other than an assumption and it’s not helpful.
I’d find it very very hard to believe he’s been flown anywhere.

You prove it an then come back. So many people on this thread right from the off have had no idea how the BBC works, how the police work, how the law works, and now how treatment for rich people works. It's OK you don't have to but you can't argue about stuff you don't understand. I literally don't care where he is and would rather think he is in a crappy UK facility but if I was a betting person, I'd say 75% he's in a South African luxury place. (dunno why but that's where people with money go for 'this' type of issue by which I mean the consequences of impulsive / compulsive sexual behaviour or relating struggles and also underlying emotional problems)

he was probably liking tweets whilst sat on an aeroplane.

Well all this aside, it’s clear the public trust in police is lacking… but on this, it true, the mother went to the police and reported it and they ignored her. For them to now say he’s done wrong, they’d have to admit they were wrong in ignoring her to start with… thus lowering the already low trust people have in them

This is what I’m interested in now. Will we get any more about this? Which colleagues and how was he inappropriate? Are we talking messaging them outside of work? Propositioning them? A slap on the arse “you need to work on that bum, have a cop of mine. I’ll give you the routine”

he never thought he’d be caught out. He assumed he was too powerful, too indispensable to the BBC. He assumed his bosses would bury any stories about him, or how expensive lawyers would sort out any necessary injunctions. His actions are those of pure arrogance. That special brand of Rich White Male arrogance that comes from the safety of the knowledge that if there’s a slight doubt, they’ll be given the benefit of it.

That’s the sad reality of it.
well he did get away with the worst part

those images from 3 years ago are on an unregistered Pay-As-You-go phone in a drawer somewhere

Has she? Genuine question as the last I read, she wasn’t paid for the sun story? Happy to be corrected

The Sun story very specifically said she didn’t ask for money, it did not say that she wasn’t paid.

Considering the seemingly sketchy of evidence that the sun had to publish the allegations they did, I would imagine they paid her to muddy her legal claims if she goes after them for manipulating her.

There’s need to be some distinguishing going on between a child and late teen here, IMO. Everyone saying Huw was targeting children…well to me a child is up to the age of 12. It conjures really sinister imagery. I am NOT saying what he did was in any way appropriate or acceptable because it wasn’t. But 17 is not a child. I’m sorry but it isn’t.

If they work for the BBC they'll now be silenced by the BBC. The only way they'll speak out freely is if they leave their job and don't wish to return to the broadcasting or entertainments industry. Expect leaked anonymous stories.
