Just caught up on the thread. I can't help but feel Gadd is secretly enjoying this I mean his fame has literally shot up overnight and tbh Fh is no threat to him as she probabky had no money she is very mentally unstable and I don't think an interview would be easy for her as she is too unstable. He knows the viewers look at her as a troubled, no life, overweight old lady stalker, I also feel her strung her a long quite a bit I wouldn't be surprised if she was the butt of there jokes at the pub.

whilst I do think it's brave and takes a lot to come out and speak about these topics especially SA articulate it so well with all the emotions, I cant help but think gadd himself is a narc. Also a lot of it was dramatised for the series or things where left out so certain thing probably didn't happen as portrayed in the series, which then brings me on to how he did not want her to go in trouble with the police (in real life this is) so he never reported her just got a restraining order against her. I think there's more to this and he may not but as clean cut as portrayed. Yes FH is totally unstable and quite frankly dangerous but I think so much is missing it's hard to get a clear understanding of what actually went on
 
Enough people have been dragged and wrongly marked as it is. It’s a horrible stain on their name afterwards. I wouldn’t be surprised if the real person already has an injunction out. I have my own pet theory who it might be but it’s not fair to throw names about over something so serious.
Mine hasn’t been mentioned anywhere and he’s the image of the character. Hmm. 🤔

Just to add as an FYI for everyone, someone has set up a profile that's identical to hers with the flowers profile pic, but without the selfies going back a number of years and without the tagline ("Scottish, Lawyer, music" or something like that). Her real profile also doesn't have comments open. Amazing that some people will literally go out of their way to stalk the stalker to the point of pretending to be her online. Insanity.

Even if this whole toxic mess not a convoluted social experiment by Gadd and a crack media team, it is definitely going to nail someone a distinction for their Psych and Social degree dissertation.

I would say the psych world is buzzing with this. Its super fascinating to the layman so imagine people who made their careers to care for people like her, SA victims, stalkers etc etc my god it must me great to "understand" it at a different level.

I'm saying it again, I don't know how or u would.. its mentioned din the pod. I may destroy you needs a thread aswell.
Any other mind fk series to watch pls throw them at me while I recover from surgery lol
 
We discussed this at work today and pretty much everyone said the same as you.

He has craved fame and succeeded as a result of this show. It's a brilliant show and his success is deserved but what does Fiona get out of it? Why is she being targeting so much and little targeting of the SA perpetrator?

I believe he should have put his desires to the side and had someone else play his part, released it under a false name and protected the identities of others a little more than he did.

I doubt if it would have been nearly as successful if it had been completely dramatised. The fact he wrote it and starred in it, and had actors playing the other parts made it a unique series. I do think he deliberately chose Jessica Gunning to play Martha for her physical appearance as well as her acting skills and maybe subconsciously he wanted Martha to be identified in real life and given a taste of what she put him through at the time.

How do you know it was actually him who cast Jessica Gunning? It was prob done by a Casting Director
