My fella had a cone head from suction but I was more worried about him and the trauma he’d been through than my own or what he’d look like for photos.
re the Alf hates photos thing if you all remember practically his first words were mummy no. No phone.
I think he’s a very clever lad and has copped to her straight away. No one else in his sphere is blinking down their phone at themselves constantly.

I personally don't give two hoots if parents give their kids screens when out for meals, everyone has their reasons. I would judge parents for neglecting their children though. So yeah, I do judge YOU ash.

YESSSSSSSSS exactly this! It’s so dependent on the child. I have one who will sit for hours with my giant activity bag of goodies, and one who just wants to run around all the time and tries and tries to contain herself but inevitably fails…. If we are still eating, out comes a screen.
It gives me massive anxiety though, I’m not weirdly proud and confrontational about it like our Ash?!

The funny thing about the constant bashing of Alf and making him look awful with matted hair is that I don’t think Ada is a quintessentially cute kid. I don’t mean that in a horrid way, but she looks very like Tommy and not girly and ‘cute’, which I think is why Ashley is constantly putting her in bows and frilly dresses. Yet she has no problem making Alf look like a woman, with no care or effort put into his appearance.

“So that the parents could eat in peace”. Not so that the children were calmed in an unfamiliar environment, weren’t bored by the process of waiting for food to be served etc.
We might have a screen if we’re just getting fed but often the eating out will be the event itself, a chance to all spend time at the table together, to really concentrate on each other. I guess they don’t find peace in that.

The jarring photos of Alfie. Didn’t Ada have forceps bruising? Where was that in the pictures?

My bub came out slightly red but otherwise perfect. Me though, I was blown up like Violet Beauregard, vomiting, one eye swolen almost shut, unable to stay awake. Can you imagine if Ashley was like that!? 😂

I think this too. She’s so in love with herself she thought baby #Ad would be her double and she could gaze longingly back at herself. Now she’s pushing the “ old soul “ narrative instead as she’s not typically girlie looking. It was so funny with Alf the no predator clothing comments and #Ad has been in frills and bows the WHOLE time. Take that patriarchy 🤪

They’re undoubtedly a beautiful family. And both of the children are adorable, but I actually think Alfie more so. It’s interesting she’s pushing the “Alf doesn’t like photos angle lately” . It that’s the case, and you know that, why film his every waking moment?

Side note - there’s been no Lovely Day updates for a while! My theory is because Alfie still eats pasta pouches daily.

Another interesting thing is that her stance on iPads is to ‘eat in peace’ but she moans about people who think kids who should be silenced in public places… which is exactly what they’ve been doing with Alf the whole time 😐

Exactly this! The screens aren’t for the parents to eat in peace, they’re for the benefit of the children, well mine are anyway! When we’re eating out as a family we know it’s not going to be peaceful, it’s just parenting at a restaurant!!! She hasn’t got a clue what real parenting entails.
