The egg freezing
journey is just another desperate plea for attention. She'll try and sell it that she's being real and honest and informative about the process like she's performing a public service. And her echo chamber will no doubt tell her how brave she is. 
I used to enjoy her content but there is literally nothing worth following for anymore.

Exactly this ...who asked her to show all this and what's it got to do with her particular brand which seems to have gone from a ED / make up platform to her now cashing in on high end products plus mercilessly flogging her clothing line?She really is intolerable at the moment.

It also just smacks of privilege and highlights how incredibly selfish and spoilt she is...babies to order, pretty distasteful really.

Honestly I feel when they give up the day job to become full time influencers they become insufferable. It becomes all about the ads and making money anyway they can. It’s not authentic anymore. I really wish Alex would stop with the dumb blonde act too. I’m ditzy AF but she makes herself seem so ignorant and it’s not funny. I’m irritable today!She really is intolerable at the moment.

i would also say that it seems incredibly crass to brag about your ability to afford to have your eggs frozen, fertility treatment etc knowing damn well that you built your audience sharing content related to eating disorders. ED sufferers are likely to suffer with fertility issues, and she knows that a huge proportion of ehr followers have/had an eating disorder - or struggled with disordered eating/crash dieting etc, and it could be incredibly painful if they are struggling with fertility issues or told they can't have children etc, especially when the majority won't have the privilege of being able to afford IVF.
it's exactly the same as knowing that the majority of her huge platform is built on the support of people with eating disorders, yet she began justifying sharing as many low weight photos of herself as possible - plus actual pro ana imagery of emaciated celebs from the 90s - under the guise of "body confidence" and sharing the message that it's okay to gain weight etc. there is no reason she couldn't do that without the triggering imagery she purposefully accompanies her posts with. and as much as i would like to think she is just incredibly thoughtless, we all know that she is totally aware of that she's doing, and sharing content which places vulnerable people at risk and/or content which many of her followers will find upsetting/distressing etc is truly vile.
she is also very deceitful in the sense that she claimed that she had suddenly decided to stop taking her anti-depressants, because she had decided she didn't need them any longer, sharing all the unnecessary details of the process of withdrawal etc - which could easily encourage others to think they don't need to take their meds or deter people from starting to take meds which may be incredibly helpful because they don't want to deal with side effects of withdrawal in the future - yet now we find out her supposedly spontaneous decision coincided with her beginning the process of freezing her eggs - which was obviously advice she decided to follow to ensure eggs would be of the highest quality possible. just be bleeping honest with your audience Alex, instead of the constant lies and manipulation.
New to this thread so probably discussed before; my God, the podcast. What a sack of shite. It was 30 minutes of their egotistical navel gazing rambling before they even began to discuss the guest (Alex Elle). Adverts cutting right in the middle of sentences, diabolically vacuous questioning, the interviewee must have wondered who had signed her up to these airheads. 45 mins of my life I won’t get back
I might be being dumb here but isn’t the advert thing dependent on the platform you’re using for listening to podcasts?

Yes and no, the ads you hear depend on the platform but somebody (producer Daisy presumably?) will be putting in the file where the adverts should go… I do find sometimes if I listen back to very old episodes then the timing doesn’t line up right but it’s unusual in new eps for me listening on Apple Podcasts.
having said that I haven’t listened to Em and Alex for a while because they get on my nerves too much. There is one of their ads where the way Em says ‘comPRISED’ goes right through me.
Did she really say that you should be ready to have kids at 34 ? What about women who don't want to have any? She's just so self centered and surrounded only by people very similar to her in upbringing and social class that she doesn't even realise that there is another world outside her little privileged bubble.

️ clothing range ️ baby ️ could I also say she's 34 of course her egg supplies are running low..we are not born with an indefinite supply and for women of her age that clock is definitely ticking for running out of time! Somethings should just be kept private ...I'm failing to see how this is relevant to her audience who originally followed her for the ED content and are now having a magnifying glass held up to their own fertility struggles which let's be really clear about most will not be in the privileged position to pay thousands of pounds privately to resolve. I so wish there was an organisation in place to regulate influencers like this muppet. Some of her content is soo harmful and the fact she is again making money off other people's misery is shameful.

Totally agree. I don't think she should be sharing this part of her life on her platform. It's irrelevant and potentially triggering to her audience. But she can't help herself. It's all about Alex in Alex's world and she needs that constant reassurance/attention from internet strangers.

i can't help but notice that the sudden influx in posts about egg freezing and being "ready" to have children etc coincides with her bestie Em Clarkson's pregnancy announcement. she doesn't like the fact that Em is taking attention away from her, and whilst she had previously said that she was going to go thru the process of freezing her eggs, she is now making a huge deal out of low egg reserves and sharing every detail of the process, knowing that it will increase engagement and get her loads of attention! she hasn't given a moment of thought to the fact that her content will be incredibly hurtful and upsetting to many of her audience - especially when fertility struggles are so common amongst eating disorder sufferers - and flaunting her privilege in being able to spend thousands on ferity treatment is incredibly crass - even more so given the current financial climate.

I find this infuriating. We spend our hard earned dosh on gifts like this for special occasions for friends and family… and this lot get it for nothing!!! Thank god I haven’t started my Xmas shopping this year- small brands will be getting my money this year that don’t give to shitfluencers !!

just Alex using black friday to increase engagement and eanr herself a load of praise and support from her fans. she obvs realised that much of her audience may find her fertility/egg freezing content upsetting and thoughtless - that, or she caught up on tattle and realised it was probably a good idea to acknowledge her privilege 
- so she has generously offered to save her followers the effort of using google and instead told them to send her requests for deals on specific items and she will find them the best offers. affiliate links ofc, but she's made a huge deal out of the fact that every penny she "earns" as a result will be donated to a fertility charity to help the unfortunate peasants who can't afford to pay to have their eggs frozen. note how she has managed to share one single affiliate link in her stories so far, when we all know damn well that if she were keeping the aff profits for herself, her stories would be absolutely rammed with endless black friday deals as she pocketed the profits.

not only is she happy to share her own negative experiences, with no consideration to the fact that other people may feel similarly to her and not want to know, she is also dismissing a side effect which, sure - in the context of her own life she can choose to ignore, but it seems irresponsible to suggest that other people should do the same, rather than advise that it's probably best to get it checked by a medical professional, just to be safe.
she can add as many *disclaimer: i'm not a medical professional" to her captions and stories as she likes, but until. she stops sharing details that her followers may take as medical advice, she is still responsible for placing people at risk.
