Actually Honest - skincare and makeup reviews #4

I’ve taken the plunge and ordered the Current Body Series 2 LED mask with 20% off. (It was an influencer discount code which I would normally avoid like the plague but in this instance, it saved me £80!) I’ll review in a couple of months in case anyone is interested.

If it's similar to the previous one then you should see a difference

I have recently lost a fair amount of weight and I've noticed that the skin on my face has gone a bit baggy, its really visible along my jawline. Realistically, is anything I can buy able to help firm up that skin or am I doomed?

I think it depends on how saggy it is. There are some skin tightening products. Or what anout some filler?

Thank you! I don't think it looks too bad when I look in the mirror but I had some work photos taken recently and OMG I could not believe how awful I looked. I don't really want to go down the filler route - I can't afford it, nor to keep it up - are there any skin tightening products that work well?

Has anyone any tan recommendations? I have probably tried all the usual ones st tropez, st moriz, isle of paradise, bondi sands etc usually only the mousse formats, which I prefer.
Would love recommendations for a pale girl. I like to have a noticeable colour but not super dark x

I use either bare by vogue or Bahama body tan. Both last on me and don’t go patchy

I got the foundation and found it pilled a lot on my skin.
This is exactly the same for me too! I liked the under eye concealer because g11 was my exact shade and I’ve never ever found a shade match so perfect but it gave me milia! 😣 I loved the perfume but I’m shocked by how expensive it is now!

Just out of curiousity. How does one apply self tan?
I’ve had my first spray tan and enjoyed it. I’m on day three and it really looks good and natural now. Apart from my hands which are a bit orange.
I’m thinking of trying self tan but is seems difficult

I use a mitt and go in circular motions. Start with my legs and work my way up. When I'm doing my hands and feet I use a body brush and then go over it wirh a layer of moisturiser. Never fails. Lots of people don't tan their face but I do, I just make sure it's well moisturised before and I apply with a fluffy make up brush so it doesn't go on too thick

Thank you. I’m going to try this over Xmas. I love having my face a bit “brown”. I just look so healthy now 😅

Exfoliate, lightly moisturise ankles/heels and any dry areas. Don't overspread the fake tan or it'll go streaky, put a good amount on. Beware of any splashes of water soon after applying your fake tan or it'll go patchy.
I just use silicone gloves to apply, no mitt.
I've tried loads of fake tans, my favourite is Bondi Sands for my face and Lidl mousse in dark is really good for legs and only £4! 😁
