Great recap although you've made me start watching it.

I'm done at 5 minutes, piss easy "brain teaser" and saying "orange pom poms are epic".

All these videos do is show how little she works compared to just about every other adult. I don't blame her for having such a distorted view of what work and meetings are given her life and all her friends that have just as an easy life. But she really could use this time out to become a bit more worldly.

I agree. Tbh she should've rebranded years ago...I mean Louise successfully managed to switch to doing more mature videos and growing with the age of her audience.

She did some stuff on other channels about puberty, mental health etc (I think it involved Nicola Roberts), so she could've done videos on that. Or advice/ask Zoe type videos.
 
She's managed to make a 25 min video on putting up some posters :rolleyes:

Most of the posters she's "chosen" are the same as the the photo on the homepage of the companies website. I know they are the top pics of the week, so maybe it was done on purpose but doesn't really show the huge varariey they have. 8 Framed posters for 264, you could get 8 of Alfies or Tanyas posters and have 180 quid left for frames.

I'm possibly being really snooty, but if I wanted a print of NYC or a building facade it would be a photo that I took myself that means something. Otherwise would be embarassing when people ask "what that building? Or where did you take that photo?" and your just shrug your sholders and say you thought it was cute.

Idc I feel bad for Zoe in the fact that so many of her fellow youtube peers are capitalizing on her decline with these videos that are going viral and constantly being recommended. It’s a tit feeling no matter who you are. It’s bad enough that she’s watching her subs decrease but now she has people publicizing it as well.
 
I bet this uncultured swine doesn't even know that she hung the queen frida kahlo on the wall.


(Also, what an ideological clash, Frida was a communist, feminist and bisexual icon + Latina, tell me the last time miss zoe didn't fear taking a position that could compromise her pay check)

^ Zoe probably thought it was a cute poster and has probably heard of the name since she is a popular icon/artist. She's not one to pick out her posters or artwork with careful thought but rather based on how pretty it looks. Frida Kahlo is popular so that must mean I should like her too! <-- is literally Zoe's thought process when she picked out that poster, I guarantee it.

I'm not going to watch her 'woe is me' vlog. She only pops up when she has a product/line to shill and then disappears for awhile until the next holiday or product launch. Her inability to accept responsibility for anything at her age is just pathetic. It really shows how stunted her maturity level is. Of course, in her vlog rant she blames the audience (aka her cash cow) instead of her lazy self. Her content will not be changing at all, as much as she claims she's going to refocus on that aspect. She has an entire office and team yet her and Alfie are rarely there unless it's for a product launch or to throw a party. All the projects she said she was going to work on and hence the reasoning for the office have yet to come to fruition. More than half the year has gone and what has she shown for it in that time?
 
Hello! First time posting here.

I just can't with her hair. Seriously, does she think these roots look any good at all? With all her money (and her FREAKING TIME, because no matter how busy she says she is, we know she is not THAT busy), you would expect her to take better care of her hair.
As for the Frida Kahlo print - I immediately rolled my eyes when I saw it. She obviously has no f*cking idea.

Oh, also, I saw someone say this over at GG, and I totally agree: she is so manipulative, deceiving and predictable! She posted that vlog yesterday for two very obvious reasons: 1) to promote her book and her new beauty range; 2) she knew she would post this AD today and she hasn't posted in a while, so uploading a vlog a day before - and portrating herself as some kind of 'victim', may I add - would get people to sympathise with her.
And then she says "she can't be herself". My dear, you're not yourself because all you see is money. You always have some kind of agenda. You're not honest and sincere.
 
It's all been said, but that excuse was such a load of crap. "I can't post much because I can't be myself and people love me for posativity" she asked a loaded question and her brand has only ever been about unicorns and sparkles. She uses Alfies accounts to be catty. Not honest at all. Poor her that she has to think about what she says now, suck it up that's part of being a public figure. Anyhow she doesn't have to speak much - a video once a month and she has an editor, manager, assistant who will go through it before it's released anyway. Even movie stars would think she's complaining too much.

I don't feel sorry for people commenting on her decline, shes made enough and could disappear without "writing" any more book or "creating" any more superdrug products.

Idk, I think she has been Zoella way too long.
If she rebranded and wanted to make videos for 'people her age' she would have to talk about themes that are completley out of her reality, such as maternity, cooking and those stereotipical stay-at-home moms things, but as we know the bump and ring before 30 isn't going yo he a thing. I am only saying this because that is the life she wanted to have since she began with the YouTube stuff.
 
I think she's gonna rebrand under interior design.

Anyways in regards to the "Guest Bedroom Makeover" Ad.

She said "I've ordered from Desenio before"
So why did you wait until being PAID to mention them??? THIS IS THE REAL ZOE. Only doing things if she's paid.

I noticed she didn't warn people to check walls for pipes/electricity wires before banging in nails and whatnot.

Also, she had to go and buy a hammer...doesn't everyone have some basic tools in their house for things such as hanging pictures? She's lived in three properties since leaving home and has not acquired a hammer somewhere along the way?

I must say I do like that turquoise wall colour, for once though she hasn't put everything in the description box so I can't see what it is (probably Farrow & Ball as she is so spendy these days).
 
i think that vlog was just pure lies, she's not posting on zoella channel because it is CRASHING hard and it's embarassing, she couldnt be bothered to maintain it and now socialblade have predicted a future forecast that in 5 years she's only going to gain around 300,000 subs, in frickin 5 years! she will never reach 13 mil. She's losing 30k a week on instagram. and less and less views on each vlog posted. she's boring she's old news.

If she takes a break from her channel there will be a significant reduction in people interested when she comes back regardless of how she rebrands. there are more fresher younger creative people on youtube now

This website will never be put up, the book, the new range and alleged film will flop, she will take a break and the fans will move on. And to be honest, good, there is better role models and inspirational figures out there.

Why is she planning a 2019 range, she's got balls to think people will be interested in buying her chemical filled crap then, nah

She's no intention of ever maturing her content - her new range is based on holigrams! I'm going to take one for the team and smell it, just cause I don't know what a holigram smells like.

Ditto for being surprised there is a 2019 range, if this tanks they might not order it
