She said that they were so busy during December so was doing Vlogmas and made out they were here there and everywhere. I expected them to at least go to Edinburgh or something! But I bet now that having to go to Wiltshire was what she was referring to and the reason she’s done absolutely nothing all month

My 2p, I think sometimes kids just prefer one parent to the other for no discernable reason. In this case though, Alfie is just better with her and doesn't treat her like a mini adult or lowkey appear to resent her

So glad it's not just me that hates the way Zoe says "Ottie". I don't know why. It would be even uglier in my accent (I'm northern so it would be "O-glottal stop-ee" (sorry if there's any big gaps in my post, tattle keeps glitching on my phone)

Totally agree it's like she's not let be active. Like putting on a few songs on YouTube or something for kids fair enough but a full movie for adults like the Grinch is just strange. Getting her to lie under a blanket watching it the poor child needs to be developing motor skills not just sitting still. It was really clear when nana was minding her and she had some lovely puzzles set up for ottie , ottie was so happy she's probably sick of watching TV and just sitting down
while I agree 100% most of the time they watch the grinch (from what I can recall) it's been in the mornings once she's woken up, I don't see the issue with that if she's getting the necessary skills later on in the day 🫠

I think all zoe wants to have is a “perfect child” you see it a lot with youtubers who have had kids they never share the struggles like in a few vlogs backs they talk about how they “couldn’t” and wouldn’t film her when she’s having a tantrum or not behaving or just literally being a baby… She will only ever share Ottie when it fits the influencer perfect life narrative, she doesn’t want to show her just playing or crying or eating or doing normal child things unless it’s something extravagant like having santa visit or baking like these aren’t normal every day activities of a child that age but the camera is hardly out when she is just doing normal baby stuff. I watch this youtuber called Jess her channel is Phoebe&me, she’s just a regular mum to 2 kids and shares the fun stuff they do as a family but also the struggles, the tantrums, the attitudes the fact that being a parent isn’t just ‘let’s do all this fun stuff for the camera’, she talks about the cost of living crisis and it’s just so real compared to the stuff we see on zoe’s channel. A child should be a child not forced to be this ‘product’ to keep the viewers entertained, we see zoe’s vlogs titled “Santa comes to visit” etc but how much more authentic would it be to see something like “Taking ottie to visit santa” and they just take her to que up and visit like 90% of us in the world do with our kids.
lol this is ridiculous, who wants to post their child having a tantrum? idk about you but I would be mortified if my parents were YouTubers and showed me off like that, no matter how many years later I would make them take it down. If you're going to post your child on social media have the decency to only show their good moments please omg

Can Ottie actually say mama? My daughter was able to say dada (and every other name) looooooong before mama but I was still her go to person being with her all day 🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t watched the vlogs so I don’t know but maybe she just gets excited that she can actually say dada and gets a response rather than it being preference of a parent. My son is the same age as Ottie and is only just about saying mama and dada

I believe Ottie has said mama at least once during vlogmas, albeit only because Zoe asked her if she could say it after saying dada

Is she really still banging on about that? 🤣

Im Devonian and it would sound awful in my accent too!

I don’t agree. I’ve worked with children for years and I would say that the parent that a child reaches out for most tends to be the parent that is most ‘active’ in their life, at least from what I see (dropping off, picking up, attending parents meetings), which is quite clearly the case with Ottie and Alfie.
I agree with this 100% based on my experience anyway. My son is a couple of months older than Ottilie and always prefers me to my husband to the point that he will not let my husband read or play with him if im there and will push my husband away. My husband is a great dad however he often works 6 days a week so spends much less time with my son than I do as I only work 2 or 3 days a week.
We all had Covid a few weeks ago so my husband stayed home for over a week and my son become more open to my hubby and even started to hug him which he never usually does, we both think it’s because my hubby spent more time with him due to being away from work.

He just told us in Zoe's vlog the other day he blew 10,000 pounds on a shitty pointless game start-up that failed, so he definitely doesn't spend his money wisely and falls back on Zoe for back up.
You just think that because Zoe didn't tell us how much money she has wasted on failed ideas.

And sure, they waste a lot of money on useless stuff most of us wouldn't bother buying (or couldn't afford, anyway), but like it or not, they both do have that kind of money to play around with.

Isn’t dada easier to say than mama I feel like most kids say dads first it’s kinda a joke amongst mums cause they carry n birth the child and they come out either looking exactly like their dad or that’s their first words. I feel like Zoe is living through ottie like healing her inner child through ottie n it shows when baking n stuff because she cares more about the cake than ottie sometimes

She needs a refund for this hair
