Zoe secretly loves that Ottie is a Daddy's girl because she can palm her off on him. I bet its constantly 'she wants you Alfie' 'she wants you to play with her, feed her, put her to bed etc'
She's not particularly close to her own Mum despite their new adult tolerance of each other which is more like friends, so didn't expect her to be Mother of the year. Despite that, she spent time with Louise Pentland and the Saccone Jolys and always seemed to enjoy the kids but they were older and more 'independent'.
She basically wants a little live in friend who does all the things she enjoys. Like Mark but there 24/7.

Im actually starting to think Alfie edits in a way her worst really shows through I’m surprised she’s does OK some of this content I assumed she didn’t until she mentioned vetting them first (maybe that’s a lie) he keeps lots of eye rolling in and bits I feel she would of edited out if it was her the fun overly happy festive Zoe that she’s tries to be in vlogmas this year just isn’t happening she seems moany lazy and entitled then like I say maybe that’s what Alfie wants us to see. She always looks pissed off and ready to snap like when Alfie picked up Otties toy in the car before setting off Zoe just glared into spare like she thought FFS I thought why was that left in? Maybe he does want to be painted as such an amazing dad and make her look a twat in the process

I wonder if Alfie will hold her more accountable after vlogmas. He said she takes better care of herself and is more active on the days she vlogs, so will he have the guts to have an honest conversation with her about keeping that up and maybe establishing a new routine? My guess would be that she goes right back into sloth mode and naps for 2 weeks straight from the 26th on.

Honestly concerned about what she is like not doing vlogmas if according to Alfie this is an improvement. She constantly naps like every day!

I'm a bit behind and just watched her Lush Haul where she unpacks and read that the tin is an artwork made by adults with support needs. And she says that she loves this and would even hang the artwork as a print in her house. WHAT stops her from doing something on her own? She has all the money all the opportunities and all the connections and multipe businesses - why doesn't she ever do a collab like this?

correct me if i am wrong but its usually normal per se for the child to ask for the parent they see as often?
like usually the stay at home parent has to do everything - and be strict.. and the other parent shows up for a fun playtime lol

but granted theyre both at home... so ottie wanting alfie is just like others said- maybe cause he connected with her better than ottie with zoe.
anyways. just started watching the vlog. cant believe she didnt even bother removing her make up 🙄

edit: 4:25 did she just call her ott? 😭😂😂😂 ottie wasnt short enough for her
To be completely fair, when I was a child my mum was the sole parent as my dad worked all day everyday and he pretty much did none of the actual stuff that comes with parenting. She was the one who fed me, bathed me, played with me, put me to bed, etc. And I still preferred my less involved dad even though I had the greatest mum. I think even if you're an incredible parent kids will just choose who they prefer naturally and that's no reflection on how good or bad of a parent you are.

I think all zoe wants to have is a “perfect child” you see it a lot with youtubers who have had kids they never share the struggles like in a few vlogs backs they talk about how they “couldn’t” and wouldn’t film her when she’s having a tantrum or not behaving or just literally being a baby… She will only ever share Ottie when it fits the influencer perfect life narrative, she doesn’t want to show her just playing or crying or eating or doing normal child things unless it’s something extravagant like having santa visit or baking like these aren’t normal every day activities of a child that age but the camera is hardly out when she is just doing normal baby stuff. I watch this youtuber called Jess her channel is Phoebe&me, she’s just a regular mum to 2 kids and shares the fun stuff they do as a family but also the struggles, the tantrums, the attitudes the fact that being a parent isn’t just ‘let’s do all this fun stuff for the camera’, she talks about the cost of living crisis and it’s just so real compared to the stuff we see on zoe’s channel. A child should be a child not forced to be this ‘product’ to keep the viewers entertained, we see zoe’s vlogs titled “Santa comes to visit” etc but how much more authentic would it be to see something like “Taking ottie to visit santa” and they just take her to que up and visit like 90% of us in the world do with our kids.

I took the “not showing crying/tantrums etc” as not publishing things that could potentially be embarrassing for O online for eternity. I don’t think people should post minors online at all (and don’t have mine online on any platform) but thought it was good that they’re not showing O in any embarrassing situations as a bare minimum in terms of protecting her.

I 100% do not believe parents should film their children having tantrums or meltdowns and then put it online for everyone to see. That’s shameful, it’s embarrassing, it crosses so many boundaries. No one should post that online for other people to look at. She is 1, we all know she has them, why do we need to see them? For everyone saying they should film it, ask yourself if you’d be happy to publicly shame your child.

I agree with above. I think showing your child when they are vulnerable is wrong. Its something the Saccone Jolys would do.

I also wouldnt share my child eating (or even online tbh) as there are too many weirdos out there.

I think the bits they do share of Ottie are fine if they are going to film her. She seems like a bright, happy and independant little girl. I liked the clip in the vlog where she was playing with Joe it was quite cute and nice to see she is close to people on Zoes side.
