Does anyone know any good dupes for the body shop shower gel in vanilla pumpkin, I absolutely love it and it usually comes out in autumn but I can’t see they’re doing this range this year!

Oh that's a shame! I would imagine it has to do with the financial issues the company has had this year (it went into Administration before being bought by a Brazilian company).

A user on reddit has a few suggestions you might try?

Can someone hand hold me through booking an appointment for hair colour please? My greys are getting too noticeable but the one time I had my hair dyed (at my old salon) I got just one colour and it looked really flat. So I guess I need some sort of highlight type situation but I’m not sure exactly what. The salon has a billion colour options! Should I book a free 15 minute consultation next time I go for a regular trim with the idea of getting the colour she recommends another time? Because I don’t know which colour option to book to have it done there and then and they’ll take different amounts of time.

Yes I would book a consultation, if you want it done sooner then just book a consultation before your trim, I have done this recently. I have a colour and lowlights but a full head colour shouldn’t be flat if you have the right colour.

Absolutely get a consultation. I used to have a balayage which I adored but with the amount of grey coming through it just wasn’t sustainable so I got highlights. It’s great now because I only have to go once a year for a full head and just get a t section every few months or so. It’s blending in really nicely.

Yes definitely get a consultation. I get a half head of foils and a toner and that seems to do the trick for my greys. They will want to do a patch test so you’ll need to visit them in any event.

Had a nice win yesterday I anted share - went to the hairdresser, I hadn't been since March, as I grew my hair out for an event, it was hovering around waist length. The hairdresser complimented the health of my hair and asked what I used on it  I've been using pretty much exclusively Garnier Ultimate Blends Oat shampoo and either the camellia conditioner from the same line (great stuff, horrible bottle), or, even for everyday, the 1 minute Hair Remedy mask with coconut oil and cocoa butter, also from the same line. I think the mask is even better, tbh.
I was so happy with her compliment, especially as I'm quite hard on my hair with daily washing and blow-drying and none of this is expensive at all, so wanted to let you know.
(I've a ton of hair, very thick, but the single hairs are fine. Hair is straight with the tiniest wave to it when cut right. I've a very sensitive scalp, which the oat shampoo has been amazing for)

Has anyone tried plantur39 brown shampoo and conditioner? It's almost like gradual tan but for your hair lol. It blends in greys etc. Use it most days for a month and should notice a difference then once a week to maintain x

My MIL has used this and the colour-free version. It does work but she didn't like the colour it turned her highlights, so in case you have any and depending on how light they are, it's something to be aware of. MIL's are quite light her overall hair isn't too dark. I'm not sure that the gradual colour would show up on medium brown hair, tbh, but it might just work for grey hair to blend in a bit better,

Sounds just like my hair and scalp. I've been using up all my old products before buying anything else.
I've really wanted to try this range, even had my hand hovering over it yesterday but told myself no.
At least I'll feel confident in what to buy when the time comes. Thanks for this.
ETA. My head feels a bit itchy with what I'm using so the Garnier oat might help.

Make a pinterest or instagram board of the colour types and styles you like (two boards is better) - describing things without images is useless and I think sometimes the hairdressers words might not mean the same as you

Be really about your needs which sound like 1.cover greys and 2. natural looking colour (what my hairdresser calls 3D i.e. not flat)

Tell them what your daily routine is like and what the upkeep is like for appointments and homecare. They might have different suggestions if your hair is always up, or you like to blow-dry daily etc.

Personally I get balayage twice a year, and root colour (not just toner to cover greys) with a cut in between (my hair is incredibly thick and fast growing and I rapidly look like a hedge over the 8-10 week marks). This keeps the costs a bit better than balayage every time, it grows out quite natural and feels healthy. I wait until my salon has a 50% on colour, which is quite often.

Thanks! I have light brown hair so I'm hoping it works. Going to give it a try anyway 😁

Has anyone bought boots from Heavenly Feet at all? I’m looking at a pair I like but I have a wide fit and I’m unsure what their fit is like generally.
