I get the impression in season one he was just obsessed and innocent (not excusing his stalking) and his first killing was a shock even to him, but it got easier/ he was desensitised to it as he went on? Now he’s killed so much he’s a legit psycho
 
I think it should have ended with season 3. At least they aren't completely milking it though, that's when shows get really bad cos the creators don't know when to stop.

I didn't really understand the Marianne thing, I just switched off from it 😂 It's been going on for seasons right?

I suspect it's got some male writers who are turning it into another serial killer show, it needs to focus on the perils of social media which is what made season one so great

Yes absolutely! I loved seeing how Joe zoned in on someone then crossed referenced their social media in a bid to stalk them, let's face it we all go for a nosey but it showed how dangerous SM can be, posting your daily life and location.
Without derailing there is a guy currently awaiting trial in Idaho who it is slowly emerging he stalked one of the victims on her social media, she was the target and the others just got in the way.

Exactly, this is also why I liked season 3 that couple with their Ted talk etc, tied in well with the social media "self help" thing

He had already killed before season 1. His dad, Candace (well he thought he had) and I’m not sure if there was someone else?
