What’s annoying you right now #10

I can absolutely sympathise, we don't ask my older and in poor health inlaws for childcare, we manage it (somehow!) between ourselves but we do ask them to see our son regularly because THEY SHOULD WANT TO. But inevitably when we do try to arrange something they're looking after their other grandkids or are too tired after looking after the other grandkids! Boils my piss! Hope you get something sorted, its so difficult!
Favourtism is awful! Not surprise it angers you so much. This is the third time they have cancelled on me because they have decided to have a day out/few nights away with the other grandchild. It makes me not want to ask them.

My indecisiveness as to whether I should inform my current manager and head of team that I’ve got a job interview for a more senior role in the organisation. It’s mainly more so because this other role is only fixed term and I would like to be able to second into the role from my permanent position. Same field of work, just my expertise are required for a project rather than across the core business of the organisation (and it’s one grade higher than my current role).

I don’t know if it’s best to plant the seed of seconding, or wait to see the outcome. I hate how I also don’t really have anyone to ask for this type of advice, especially with my mentor in the team being ask to join the interview panel! 😣

Someone has put the bread away upside down with the packet open and when I picked it up it all fell out.

There's a nasty smell in the bathroom.

People doing the "it's always me/it could only happen to me" mantra. Looking at life through a glass of half full of lukewarm pi$$, then you're always going to be miserable. If you look for misfortune, you'll find it.

Bloody 02!

I recently realised they’ve been charging me for an account closed 3+ years ago ( I am bad at checking bank statements, it’s laziness I’m definitely not loaded). So I cancelled the direct debit and went to the 02 shop to explain why. They said the account is closed so they couldn’t help and I should phone 02 to discuss . Tried three or four times, got passed around, cut off, all the usual crap.

Decided to write to the complaint resolution dept instead. Have done it four times now, all I get is an automated response.

Then they said they were sending in debt collectors so I phoned again and this time I got a guy who couldn’t help because I can’t pass the security questions (no, I can’t remember the model of a phone I haven’t had for over 3 years, go figure). Said I’d need to go to the 02 shop. I’m not going to.

Debt collectors emailed, I’ve told them why I don’t owe the money and I copied in the complaint line again. This time I got a response from an actual person (no name though), but they couldn’t locate my original complaint. I have forwarded all 4 of them again as requested, another automated response and then nowt.

Had another bill and demand for payment today. This time for my ‘disconnection request’.

Sorry it’s long but I am raging 😡

Move vets! I definitely would.
That’s insane! Apart from the shambles itself , £250 for an emergency appointment! 😱. I had one last week (Midlands-based vet) and it was £90, which I thought was steep enough. Move vet!

My sister is laws clear favouritism of one of her small children over the other yesterday really reached a new low when the favoured one was her bridesmaid as she married their Dad and the other was sat 3 rows away sat on a relatives knee not in the wedding party at all. Could have been a page boy, could have been a best man, could have been the ring bearer...anything!
