I've seen my best friend go through this with her daughter. Months waiting for the meds, months getting the dosage right, months of side effects, then the stress of being told they're unavailable and having to switch to something else.
These self-diagnosing social media idiots are the reason people come out with "I think everyone is a little bit ADHD."
Because if you listened to them all, you'd think everyone's got it. They don't seem to realise there's so much more to it than "oh haha, look at me, I'm so easily distracted!"
