according to a certain MJTheatre the current cast were due to finish then anyway..Heh. Do the current cast not get proper fecked off at being kicked aside for the "Broadway Originals" coming in for a few weeks! Or do they have a nice few weeks off and still get paid? Or have they timed this to be when the London cast was due to change again anyway?
I was very happy with the London cast I saw in August or whenever it was just before the last big change, and I'll be very happy with the current London cast that I will see in mid January, booked before this was announced.
I thought that too.. Reeve Carney anyone? Eva and Andre are the only ones I'd heard of. Mind you i'm more of a play person than a musical theatre fan - though oddly most of the shows i see seem to be musicals for one reason or another. I think possibly my old company found it easier to get cheaper rates for musicals than straight plays (still think it was super sick i managed to see Nye for £8 though JFC)It's pretty surprising (and impressive) that a bunch of unknowns (to the vast majority) can cause the same stampede as Paul Mescal. In fact the Hadestown run sold out quicker than Streetcar

Reeve is already well known. He originated the role of Peter/Spiderman in the fateful Spider-Man show, and was in the tv show Penny Dreadful.
Patrick Page is quite well known too. Also in Spider-Man, and has been on Broadway for ages.
True.Only well-known to a small niche of people.
