I’m a bit confused though, surely they would have had a chat and discussed the starting pace? Or would Kelly have persuaded her that she could maintain the 8:30s for the whole thing? Holly (for all we said about the ASICS thing) knows how to pace and use nutrition during her own runs, both for marathons and ultras. I was a bit in awe of her when I was in that world tbh. Would she have let Kel run off like that knowing full well it would drop off as it always does?
