That would remind me of Phoebe Bridgers more than Vonny. When I was at the pet shop today I was served by a woman in a skeleton onesie. I was smiling to myself thinking SKLTNWMN works at PetBarn in between Cwfen gigs.
In the words of Phoebe Buffay, I wish I could but I don't want to.CWFEN are playing live in Edinburgh tonight, how could I have missed that? Anyone going?
Jokes on you when they play Perth and Larrimar. If they toured Australia I'd go, I'm only saying that because the chances are slim-to-duck-all that they would.
Don’t think Judaism matches the new aesthetic.
Why did I only look at this after I'd had a pint? I don't trust Scotrail to get me home in this weather.CWFEN are playing live in Edinburgh tonight, how could I have missed that? Anyone going?
It definitely doesn’t, not least because it’s now socially acceptable for the liberal left to loudly hate Jewish people. She’s astute enough to know that her performative Judaism would NOT go down well in the current climate.
Yeah the “queer vampire gaze” is less complex, with more immediate rewards.I remember her posting a story shortly after Oct 7th last year making a sad face, w her cat in the foreground, saying something like how awful the world was right now and how “we don’t deserve our animal companions” or something inane like that. That was her hot take “as a Jewish woman”
I disagree that hating Jewish people is understood as acceptable among the left. There are a lot of people on the liberal left standing together with leftist Jews who themselves are actively speaking out against Israel, getting organised, putting on demonstrations, etc (see Jewish Voice for Peace). Anyway my point is that it’s a highly difficult issue especially for Jewish people who are “insiders” so of course you’d genuinely have to be Jewish to have the background and understanding to be able to choose openly supporting Palestine as your position, and then debate it with other Jews.
She would have been way out of her depth, so obviously dropped it.

I think you would go with “never happened my sister is a big fibber” or you could own it “tit job, I was taking the piss, can’t believe they thought I was serious”. I think Paper Mask Dr Vonny cutting about the Infirmary in scrubs is actually more sinister.I do wonder what she thinks of people going on about the hand thing (because I'd be surprised of she doesn't read here). Most people would I think be embarrassed to be reminded of such a strange lie, but she doesn't seem the sort to get embarrassed by that kind of thing.
