He was more the side piece for another fairly unknown DJ.... he wheeled out that bloody song of course, made a load of "woo's" and other bizarre nosies then pissed off. It was an interesting experience 😄😵‍💫

Imagine being Vanessa when you're at a party and that song comes on....
 
Glad to find this thread, thanks for the HT @House of Tea and thanks for setting it up @no-no

I always liked Vanessa for her work ethic, her wit, her intellect and the fact she's an open book; she wears her heart on her sleeve, and wears her intelligence lightly. She resisited social media for a long time and just last year got a smart phone and set up an Instagram account, getting over 100K followers in a couple of weeks IIRC.

She did two radio shows back-to-back on the BBC for years (Radio 2 at 4:00am, then straight to Radio London for the 7:00am breakfast show) but you never heard her complain on air of being tired, in fact the opposite, she would always say how glad she was she was to be in demand and working. She would often go in to ITV for This Morning, and also wrote newspaper columns so she has always been busy. She seems like a loving, generous mother and grandmother. When she realised the direction the BBC was going in she didn't stay there and whinge on air every chance she got (like others) she knows her value so packed herself up and got a nice fat contract at Talk TV.

Her ex-colleague at BBC Radio London Jo Good was never a fan of Vanessa, she seemed very jealous and she'd often make nasty comments at V's expense, shockingly sometimes sizeist in nature. Even on her show last night Jo had a dig - she was talking about radio listening habits and wondered if people listen to Vanessa on her new station "I can't remember where it is", someone told her it's Talk TV.

I agree she may have large house etc and job but she may not have cash in the bank or is there a contract up for renewal and this puts her and partner in limelight. I just find it bizarre how much she’s sharing which makes me think there is more to this…

I've heard her make a few fruity comments but I only ever knew her from the radio so maybe she held back there. I've read a few articles about her/them, I'd liked them as a couple from what I saw in paparazzi photos at premieres and such, they looked fun and happy. I did think the long engagement was due to her reluctance to getting married after the hurt of her first divorce.

I don’t see her milking it, she’s moving on she’s been posting about her daughters and grandchildren. The only one milking this is Ben.

I think he may not be entirely truthful about the extent of his cheating. He's saying he had sex with someone 8 years ago, Vanessa forgave him and since then he's only sexted? Nah, not buying it Ben. Wonder how much he got paid for the Sunday Mirror exclusive.

It was alleged he had cheated before so if that was the case and she'd given him a second chance it's no surprise he's been sent packing this time.

So that makes sense if he's now blown his second chance with her. She's been pretty stoic so far but I think from my own experience she is going to crumble soon
So glad she has a lovely family to support her .

I was going to nightclubs from about 2004 on and I don't recall having heard Turn Around played in them. Has anyone else? I do hear it on the radio from time to time, it's a nice summery feeling song.
