Jeepers, we’re the alarms not ringing when the engagement went on for such a long time. Did he not take the lead and book a wedding venue?
I feel bad for Vanessa, when she does her agony aunt stuff it looks like she actually cares.
I’m having visions of her dancing to Mileys Flowers record on repeat come Tuesday. God love her, not sure what will become of him maybe trolley collecting at airports or supermarkets at this rate of going 😩

He might have said stuff like 'oh our relationship is so special we don't need a piece of paper to say we're married'. (Long term not engaged cohabiting person speaking here!) Plus Vanessa scarred from first marriagr.
 
I’m not a huge fan but she is very astute, articulate and intelligent and had a successful career before Ben was on the scene. When her husband cheated on her she handled it with dignity (although did overshare about having to put foam behind the headboard on their last holiday 🤮).

I can’t see her being of the same ilk as say, jaq Jossa or Megan Barton Hanson or similar selling their stories. She’ll be devastated but there’s no doubt she will dust herself off and carry on.

No, he wanted to get married. It was in his financial interests to do so. Now he has left a rich lifestyle for a Butlins one. Vanessa was very upset she had to provide her ex husband with a hefty divorce settlement- he was a high earning medic and he cheated on her. She wouldn’t go into marriage lightly. I think Ben cheated in 2015. So that is half way into their 16 year relationship. There was very little chance of V marrying him after he had already been caught cheating. She mentioned in a recent Instagram that after trust has gone you can’t get it back. Yet she tried to give him her trust for the last 8 years knowing he had already destroyed that trust. You can never tell from Instagram the real stories. There they were, public declarations, sickly overt displays of sentiment, and this always in the background.

To be honest I don't get it. That screeching voice gets on my nerves every time I hear her. And they way she is milking him cheating on her. Every day there is an article of her in the media, pretty much chewing over the same information. You would think she is the only person to have been cheated on in the world. I don't like him either. Always thought they were a pretty strange match, but I don't know how he put up with her voice and personality for 16 years.

Ive just come on to say exactly the same as you. I think its very strange that she always said how she was so far in the past technology wise she'd never sent emails, then they are both all over insta or tik tok showing their sex life or whatever they were doing, next thing its all off. As the saying goes there's no bad publicity. Guess we'll have to wait and see
 
I like Vanessa. She always comes across pretty honest and isn't trying to be something she's not.
My overriding memory of the Wife Swap episode is Ben constantly singing his song at Debbie McGee to try and jog her memory and her insisting she'd never heard of it 😆

Also- does anyone remember him being in the boy band Benz??? I'm sure his name was Big Ben in the band 😁
 
I saw her fella in the summer at a festival in Cardiff. He was absolutely shite. As soon as he came on stage he killed the mood, made some really stupid noises. Shite screechy "singer" How he's clung on to his "fame" I have no idea! Talentless big headed berk. If he wasn't sponging off Vanessa, he'd be stacking shelves in Poundland if he was lucky (nothing wrong with that BTW you get what I mean)

She clearly knew deep down he was a wrong un by not marrying him after 16 years. She was wise not to because she would have had to hand over half her assets soon after no doubt. I bet he's cheated 100s of times. He's like a character in a Take A Break magazine.

She can be a dick but she's worth more than that blood sucker
 
Phats and Small - Turn Around was a good song and I have nice memories of it from summer 99, was on the first Now album that I got on CD instead of tape (just checked and it was 43...)

I found out from Tattle that he didn't actually sing on Turn Around, the vocal was a sample.

The follow up song was boring, just basically the same song again, and the album has terrible reviews.
