There's nothing weird about spending your leisure time alone.

Give me a day off and I love nothing better than taking a train out to somewhere nice, having a long walk in the hills then finishing off with a couple of pints and a read of my paper in a lovely old country pub.

Yet when friends or work colleagues ask what I did on my day off and I tell them they always ask "who did you go with?" and when I say "no-one" they either look confused or look at me with pity as if I have no mates. Some even offer to come with me next time!

I have more than enough friends, but sometimes you want company and other times it's great to be on your own when you can do what you like and go where you want without having to keep other people happy.

Those with the most to say are those that haven’t got the foggiest….

ETeaching is not 9am-3pm and if they think it is come and join us! (They won’t)

We only get paid for 9-3pm. No pay for holidays just a salary split up over 12 months. No ££££ for overtime.

Parents couldnt cope with their kids during lockdown, imagine x30 kids and all day every day!
I'm sure many parents would give it a try ,instead of their usual employment , if they were paid for it because they know they are sending the 30 kids back to their own parents at the end of the day

As a person who lives in Asia, Buddhist monks are nothing more than beggers.
They walk the streets here taking free food and cash from people and then give people a 'blessing' which in reality means bugger all then just swan back off to the temple and share all the free food they've managed to scrounge with their other orange clothed mates.

I bloody love my own company sometimes! If I have a trip planned sometimes I really love having friends come with, but I also really enjoy just being able to do things on my own.

This is the greatest and most hilarious post on this thread just for coming so hard out of left field compared to all the teacher/social media moaning 😂

Honestly, when I see teacher bashing all I can think of is that people resent the holidays and love to sneer at easy targets. The holidays might be great but it's seriously hard work the rest of the year. Imagine having to deal with loads of kids and parents? To those who think it's such a cushy easy going number why not retrain and go for it yourself then?

hello, welcome to the unpopular opinions thread.

There are lots of jobs that seem cushty and easy to me but I chose my current line of work because it’s what I’m passionate about. I don’t want a cushty easy career.

If you are traveling, eat more at street level, a house who runs food outlet/restaurant. I am specifically talking about where I live, South Asia. The more lavish hotel, the nastier traditional dishes taste. People go there to eat just for grandeur, nothing else. The extra gold leaf on goopy dessert is 💲💲💲 but taste like 🤮
(Learnt it from sister who worked in many chefs)

Unpopular especially with teachers but here we go.

Female teacher are biased towards girls. My son who’s told me about this and I was reassuring him that is not the case and he must of got it wrong until I went to few open classroom sessions as well as volunteered at a school trip in different year groups and punishment for a boy vs girl’s ‘crime’ is very different. Female teachers definitely view girl as mischievous and boys as naughty. So this is my experience three different female teachers so not just one odd teacher. Worse even if they are mums of girls!

I also don’t see the appeal of that Salt Bae restaurant. Just seems like people are paying loads of money just to have a man sprinkle salt down his sweaty arm 😂
My friend is turk and he visited turkey with his mam and he said the food was good but nothing extraordinary and it wasn’t worth the price.
