95% of people who call their sexuality 'queer' are heterosexual people doing it a) for attention, b) because they feel guilty about being (usually White, middle class) heterosexual people, c) to get woke points or d) as a shield against criticism.
A few people, especially when young, might find it a safer word while they figure themselves out, but that's the minority. That's also why the Q was originally for 'Questioning' rather than 'Queer'.
They make actual LGB people look bad because most people see them and think we're all running around with blue hair, screeching our lungs out at every so-called 'slight.'
It is contributing to a big increase in homophobia, and once it becomes unfashionable, they will all go back to being straight, and everyone left will have to suffer the consequences.
