Slimming World is a money making cult that doesn’t promote healthy eating or balance. It’s business model is to make people completely dependent on it so they have to remain members for life in order to maintain a healthy weight. Fact is they could save themselves a fortune by downloading my fitness pal and joining a gym. Also the acronyms they use are so wanky and twee. ‘Syns’, ‘body magic’, image therapy’. What a load of bleeping crap.

I agree with a lot of the breastfeeding posts here - there’s a lack of support for new mums which is the biggest problem

Also regarding childbirth - take the flipping drugs!!! We live in the first world…a pain free birth makes a better birth in my opinion! There’s too much pressure to go all natural

Weddings are the most boring and unpleasant social event imaginable.

Where's the pleasure in standing around in a suit all day having to make forced conversations with people you hardly know then have to sit through hours of boring speeches, force a smile for loads of needless photographs and then have to endure hours of crap music at the reception while loads of screaming kids are running around and crying?

Don't invite me to yours.

I’m fed up seeing wills and Kate heralded as being wonderful amazing people, for doing the bare minimum.

im unwell with a cold at the moment and feeling the chill. Even though myself and my other half work full time in “good” jobs, I’m debating whether or not to turn the heating on because it’s so expensive now. And it occurred to me that a decision like that, is not one that will ever cross the minds of will or Kate.

they’ll never have to worry about an overdue bill, paying the car tax, changing home insurance provider. They don’t have to worry about changing mortgage rates or finding a new phone provider. No stress over responding to an email about their child’s school trip, booking a doctors appointment. They never have to worry about taking the kids on a trip somewhere and planning for it, they don’t have to worry about queuing. They don’t have to worry about fitting in the school run into their commute, or if they’ll be late to collection time.
All the little minor inconveniences in life that cause small stresses that pile up, simply don’t apply to them. Because they have a team of (underpaid) staff who deal with all this for them, as well as a mass of fortune, taxpayer funding and favourable PR from the media.

I’ve seen wills being applauded on social media for giving an award to a little girl. Seriously?! How does this make him some sort of social saviour

and all Kate has to worry about in life realistically, is a bad photo. Her hair is done for her for every appearance, she has a stylist chose her clothes. The clothes come out of an allowance that she doesn’t pay for. She has a speechwriter and staff who manage the logisticstics of all events…

but a few pics of her shopping with the kids or walking them to school and the mail online comments are all “she’s such a good mother”

On that note, theres the increased risk of an assisted birth with drugs. That can be enough to make anyone go natural! I think the NHS has gone to tit and treat first time mums in particular like dickheads who dont know anything.

reiki and all other healing therapies are a load of bo11ox. A few weekends training and you are a master. Whatever. Full of egotistical w@nkers who would be a master at nothing if they didn’t enter a field where zero recognised qualification is necessary to train. No different to pyramid schemes. They’ll take any dose in:

if you think handing over 50/60/70 of your hard earned cash for someone to float their hands around over body is sorting you out, you’ll find you’ve been robbed. Especially if the “therapist” is a sanctimonious antivaxxer as mostare seeing as they can heal anything 🙄

Same goes for homeopaths.

rant over. Ps not personal experience just have a family member who is said dose and hangs around with multiple doses.

Not to mention hours in commuting time
… as well as the fact my home desk is more comfortable than trying to book a work station that often doesn’t work, is messy etc

my unpopular opinion… people who call those who WFH “lazy” are just bitter they can’t wfh, or have been brainwashed by the daily Mail overlords who own commercial office property and need contracts to be renewed…

I agree. I’ve just seen a few friends suffer with PND after planning an “all natural” birth and end up begging for drugs. They felt like they failed and no woman should feel like that.

In regard to Reiki etc there are SO MANY charlatans!!! Again, anyone in that field who can claim to “heal” is to be steered clear of. They are bold claims and often are dabbling with things they have no business dabbling in
