That was good match I had a cheeky Mc Donalds to celebrate.
YES! God's Own County.I fully credit the success of the England team at the World Cup and at this tournament to the sheer number of players from YORKSHIRE! ❤
Your gym brings you pizza? Where do you go go the gym and more importantly can I join
Sockboy made all the difference. Poor game on both sides but England had the edge and ran out deserved winners. Germany were poor and we were not at our best by a long way, but shithousing your way to the final is fine by me. Gormless Gareth will never lead us to a tactical masterclass but the W column is all that matters.
He obviously just didn't see him, but his job is to win a trophy not friends!Calvert-Lewin left out of the squad last night and Southgate giving him the cold shoulder
I still don't get saying "Gormless Gareth" when he has England in a quarter final without conceding a goal. England finally have a manager who is ignoring public opinion and putting round pegs in round holes instead of shoe horning in every trendy name. Yes he could put out Mount, Sancho and Grealish in a weird system with almost everyone out of position but they could equally have been torn apart on the counter attack. He stopped Germany from having any space in behind to run into and it completely stopped them. Compare that to Portugal who left wide open spaces for the Germans and they got smashed.
The 2006 team might have won a World Cup had they not tried to fit in every big name and actually gone with a better system that had Carrick and Hargreaves in central midfield. The bench is crucial in this tournament after a COVID season and that's where the value of the other attacking options come into play.
Hargreaves lol, blast from the past. He slid into my DMs on Facebook before that was even a thing (2007-8 ish)I still don't get saying "Gormless Gareth" when he has England in a quarter final without conceding a goal. I'm not sure why you seem to take personal offence to me querying why you don't think he is doing a good job.You don't have to get anything, I can call him Gormless Gareth if I wish. You can call him Gorgeous Gareth if you choose, no big deal!
No personal offence at all, this is the internet, I've got kids to insult me in real life if I wanted to be actually offended!I'm not sure why you seem to take personal offence to me querying why you don't think he is doing a good job.
England are in a quarter finals, haven't conceded a goal and have the best chance of winning something since 1966. He has made big decisions which the public and media don't agree with but he has stuck to his convictions. That's not "gormless" management.
Probably because being an armchair critic is part of being a sports fan, even though most people have no or very little experience of playing or coaching sport at a competitive level. Not to mention that personal bias and emotion comes into play.I'm not sure why you seem to take personal offence to me querying why you don't think he is doing a good job.

Not everything needs to be seriously analysed to the nth degree.

ha Claire is ace I spend so much time there i’ve become pals with all the staff. Although the fact my partner works there also helps she was meant to be doing the challenge with me but she selfishly got herself pregnant so she had to pull out and she feels a bit guilty so she keeps bringing me food
I'm not English so I can't say I pay a huge amount of attention to opinions on Southgate, but I know that success and popularity don't go hand in hand. He seems to lack personality and that comes through in the team and how they play, as a fan I would hope to be entertained on my way to being successful.Nothing in my post said people can't have an opinion. My point is that I am surprised at the relatively widespread negative opinions of Gareth Southgate. I would hope you see the difference in that.
