Loved the new season. Had a rewatch of season five and the episode where Gordon is stoned proper made me lol. I'd forgotten about that
It's the 2021 Christmas Special, well worth a watch if you have not already. It's tagged onto the end of season five x

I would love to see Ian and Gordon’s wedding. Don’t know if it will happen. They could do so much with that though, wedding planning always brings drama. I don’t know why they haven’t.
Unpopular opinion but I can’t stand Ian. If they could get rid of him and keep Gordon I would grab it.

Desperate to watch the new season and not in the UK so paid for a VPN and it doesn't bloody work for BBC iPlayer
I've had the same problem, Iplayer always seems to block the vpns

Just finished and I'm sure it will be an unpopular opinion but I'm kind of underwhelmed by the new series I did enjoy watchìng but apart from episode 4 and the last line of episode 6 which did make me laugh out loud the rest was just OK
Episode 3 and 5 were the worse I just didn't really find them very funny which was a shame

I've watched just the first 2 episodes from the new series and I don't know if it's just me, but I can't get over how different it seems to be filmed?
I felt in the 2nd episode (I suffer with motion sickness), the camera was "off".
Juddering, too near to characters faces, even the focus seemed out and in an early scene when the front door was opened, it looked like a cardboard street scene!
The entire thing gave me a feeling I was watching an episode of Neighbours.
(Which to be fair, they all are!).
At least Beth doesn't have Lego hair now.

Finished watching the series last night was good but agree not as good as earlier seasons. I think it changed when it moved to bbc1 bit more tame

I only just discovered this gem of a programme a few weeks ago and I’m hooked!
I love how cosy and comforting it is, I rather like that it’s quite prosaic and follows much the same theme each episode. My favourite episodes are the ones set in Beth and Eric’s front room and everyone’s round. I’d love to sit on the couch with a coffee and sponge listening to Christine’s remarks

Agree with this, Cathy was vile in the second episode & no one put her in her place
