Two doors down

I don't get why it never seemed to be advertised. I only found it by chance scrolling through iplayer on my computer, I've recommended it to so many people, all of whom loved it but none of whom had heard of it!
That's something that happens with a lot of Scottish comedy unfortunately! Even the popular ones up here just don't tend to get promoted much (or even broadcast) outside of Scotland, at least not until pretty far into their run.

Same happened to Still Game, Chewin' The Fat and Gary: Tank Commander. Not to mention shows like Burnistoun, Limmy's Show and Scot Squad, which were big up here (and still get quoted regularly!) but I don't think ever had a UK-wide broadcast!

Never heard of any of these! Are they all on BBC? Would love to watch them

Still game is always the Scottish comedy I recommend, the early series were iconic

Yeah, they're all BBC Scotland comedies so are on iPlayer! Chewin' The Fat only has the 'Best Of' complications on there (but I think the full series is on YouTube) but everything else is the full series.

But thanks for proving my point 😂 To me, it's mad that someone would know Two Doors Down but not Still Game, which was/still is a cultural institution in Scotland 😂

yes they were, I have to say Two doors down is brilliant, they are a bit like Gavin and Stacy where you'll watch them over and over again no matter how often

For anyone who hasn't watched Still Game, please look it up if you can, it's one of the best things ever. The only downside is, if you're able to get all the episodes you'll get addicted pdq, so clear your social diary - and if you're working, maybe ring in sick for a couple of weeks. ;)

Happy to see a repeat of Two Doors Down on my planner the other night too which I wasn't expecting. The Scottish humour, imo, is hard to beat. 😊

Still Game is on iPlayer for anyone interested. Only one episode is missing - Season 4 Episode 5 , for the same reason that the pilot of TDD isn't available anymore - Kevin Guthrie was in them both. Pisses me off as well because it was a stellar episode.

I loved Kevin Guthrie as an actor. He was in a great low budget movie with Sheila Hancock called Edie. Annoyed and disappointed he turned out to be a sexual predator.

I think I preferred the first 3 series before michelle and Alan came in to it It was still brilliant with them but it just felt a bit different

Just started series 4 the one where Gordon looses it with the trifle and dances to the proclaimers let's get married 🤣 I must admit I preferred Gordon to Jazz
