I hate when people name their sons after their fathers it’s so boring. My aunty did this and takes great offence when people refer to her son as “little Sean” what else are people gonna say think adding an óg to a name is so pretentious. What’s wrong with giving the fathers middle name to the son?

My partners a horrible name. my son has his great grandads name as like a second name as far as I’d go.

I’m confused is his dad called Fionn? I’m surprised she’d even dream of keeping his name of that was the case of using Óg!??

Their dad is called Jess or something as far as I remember from previous threads. The Og makes even less sense when you realise that.

So if she has another child he will be renamed Fionn middle?? You cannot name your children according to the order you have them, so Erin should be called Erin oldest by that logic??

I could be wrong but I think Fionn was named Fionn Michael and she has since changed the Michael to Óg.

On RIP it did say Erin Rose and Fionn Michael. Not a fada or Òg to be seen! She never refers to him so Fionn Michael so I did think it was odd to put the full name.
