Travel Vloggers and VanLifers

So Kinging it had their offer of 207.5k accepted for a 3 bedroom "cabin" in Scotland.

The house looks very dark and claustrophobic to me but they'll probably invest another 200k in the renovations.
 
Campervibe also now have a vlog up about looking for a remote house to buy. Thought they said they were off on a really long trip, possibly their longest ever! Is it only long as they have sold their home so are now full time?
I have enough DIY and household maintenance of my own to do, I don't need to watch a load of strangely well off YouTubers do theirs.

I've never watched the Travel Beans before, although have watched Mike and Tricia when they blogged "The Wee Broon Van", so we watched Mike's blog last night when we seen his face pop up on the screen, I to agree with Mike being Scottish and a Caravaner myself, it was pretty low blow of the Travel Beans so won't be watching any of their blogs. Please never be put of Camping and Caravaning in Scotland

I actually couldn’t believe their response to his comment. The arrogance to refer to their thumbnails as movie posters! And then to justify deception so brazenly showing they literally just don’t care as long as you click. Gutter press approach, just like Mike said. They represent the absolute worst of Youtube.

I can't believe the state of the van that they're living in, and with a small child too. It's totally unfinished. Our motorhome may be old, but it's warm and comfy and finished off properly. I hope they get it sorted before that child gets mobile.

I find the clickbait distasteful and will not watch again.

With their weekly views, they can easily afford to rent a family friendly RV. Vloggers with half their views get offered them for free for weeks even, so I'm sure their options are endless and yet they choose to travel in these irresponsible conditions.

After watching their last Scotland vlog (haven't watched them since they did Japan in the tiny camper but was curious after seeing them mentioned so much recently on this thread), they obviously see having the small van as a flex... "look how Boho and authentic we are, not like all you oldies with your big rigs and boring campsites". Very entitled and annoying, in fact they annoyed me in that vlog right from the start in Windermere so I remembered why I stopped watching them.

but, but, but, it wouldn't be the van emma worked so hard on...

I totally agree with you though. especially with the baby. should ensure that they have all the ability and comforts to properly provide for him.

Travel Beans were just in the same train as me! Bound for Weston super Mare from London. Seemed to be with mother in law and a grizzly Noah. Didn't speak to them as was with a friend. They were all barely speaking to each other but I guess dealing with a crying baby on a busy train isn't the most fun experience. Glad they were at least somewhere warm and not in that small cold van. Guess they aren't house hunting in Scotland right now...

I don't know what jobs they did as only watched a couple of vids. May go have a look at early vlogs if I get time and see if I can learn anything 😊
Edit to say - teachers as far as I can 👀 see.

Maybe someone tipped off the owners that they're about to sell their beloved home to some influencer brats who will turn it all into a media circus and that the letter was deceiving.

Yeah I thought that too. Sealed bids are taken pretty seriously in Scotland. It was the fact they are submitted confidentially, but the seller broke that confidentiality by telling Kinging It what the highest bid was so they could top it.
Which really isn’t fair and I don’t how legal that actually was. And Craig and Aimee filmed it in all its 4k glory! Must be dodgy enough for them to remove the entire video. Wonder what they’ll say about it 🧐
 
Undermines the whole point of it, if they wanted and loved it that much they would have put in an offer a good chunk over asking to begin with, they were quick enough to muster up the extra
