Agree....things took a real pivot when she became unwell. I don't know about the dentistry but she did become an optometrist and even had her own business for some time. Family is so important in her culture so likely always close to her family but definitely was independent at one point. From the videos it seemed that was quite a renovation project that she undertook with the house and it looks very nice today.

I don’t think she owned a business. Making oneself a ‘limited company’ is a well known method many locum healthcare professionals use to pay less tax. I know agency nurses who are a LTD company, really they work for themselves as a brand and submit receipts as expenses. It’s not an actual company or business with people on their pay roll etc

Did she ever worked for specsavers? That's just an average income, no big deal.

I believe that I have read here that she wasn’t allowed to drive because of the neuropathy of her legs due to the chemo. Has had something to do with insurance.
Yes this is true. And understandable. If I had someone to always go with me to appointments, honestly I would choose that even though I’m grown and in my 20’s. I find the cancer center (ours is separate from hospital) to be terrifying. They make it beautiful and peaceful- but looking around we all know why we are there.

Me too, and my siblings. Id not want my parents at my appointments. I'm an adult.
Tiffany can drive, she says she cant because she has neuropathy in her feet from chemo.

A drama going on, on a post announcing the passing of someone. Imagine Moniques parents reading all that absolute drivel.

Sad indeed, noone thought of the poor girl’s parents.

Yes saw it, a drama going on over there
troll accounts and uncalled for imo

You can drive while on morphine.
Not in any of the 50 states in the US. Nothing that can or does impair you, your reflexes or judgement is allowed. If you get pulled over you can get a DUI, Driving Under Influence.
UK allows you to operate a vehicle under morphine?

I so admired her continuing on to get her degree with all of this going on. She is a remarkable woman and an inspiration for any young person with cancer...for some time things did not look great for her. That said it was an entirely different kind of cancer with a much better prognosis.

Indeed, Hodgkins Lymphoma is among the most curable cancers.

And rightly so, logic desicions in the USA

I don't think it's weird her Mum goes with her. Yeah she's 30, but cancer is bleeping terrifying and noone should be mocked or judged for having someone there to support them and help them get through it. Hospitals are horrible places for most and having someone you love to focus on isn't a bad thing. We are too stoic in the UK and expect everyone to bottle it all up and it's not healthy.

Was literally just about to post and say something similar. I couldn't agree more.

Agree 100%. We are talking about a scary life threatening disease. One doesnt stop been a mother once your child turns 18. A mother hurts for her children no matter the age.

okay but morphine would cause her to be unfit to drive and impair her driving from what we've seen when she's on it. the best bet is for someone to ask their doctor.

I agree. Some might be projecting due to the type of relationship they have with their own mom, but If you're close to your mom as a daughter you'd defintely want them with you at any age. It's your mom ffs. That bond is strong if it's a good relationship.

Exactly and people deserve comfort and love at every age, heck even 85 year olds will want their mum! It's a completely normal thing and noone should be made to feel weak or ashamed because they look for someone to comfort them when they are going through the unimaginable (or honestly just anytime!). I'd want to believe my son would know he could always come to me and he never needs to go it alone to save face.
