and boy oh boy (or, Fox, Oh Fox!) do we need positive notes!
However, what is positive about Fluffy becoming attached to another cancer vlogger? Fluffy might be sad soon, since the prognosis of someone with cancerous fluid around the lungs and fluid around the heart is poor.
Also, though I've been reading comments here related to Jenny's channel, I am not watching the videos. (I've had my fill with Tiffany!) Question: If one of Jenny's videos had erroneous information about a hospital withholding pain, and she corrected in in a subsequent video, why doesn't she just remove the video with the erroneous information?
probably she would lose the views and positive number from that one on YT.

Just have to say that I’m on Medicaid and I have access to some of the best doctors in my state. My gastroenterologist is progressive and one of a handful of colonoscopy scopists in New England who are flat polyp specialists. My GP is terrific, as well. I’ve never paid a dime for anything.

Medicare and Medicaid are at the bottom because they are run by the government. Physicians lose a lot of money by accepting those patients due to bureaucracy and many treatments being denied coverage after the fact or minimally covered. This ends up with subpar treatment for the patient.

I would like to share the only health vlogger I have ever followed prior to following Tiffany. She was Claire Wineland, a young lady who had been born with cystic fibrosis. (She is featured on Wikipedia. She actually started a foundation when she was 13 years old for families of patients with cystic fibrosis!) She passed away at age 21 a few days after her lung transplant, and the following video was her last one.
Why I am posting this:
--So that people may discern earnest people from profit- or sympathy- seekers. (Fluffy, take note, please.)
--So that people may hear the financial struggles from someone whom that had affected. (since there have been lengthy posts about the US healthcare system.)
--and, last but not least, so that you may witness a true 'Thank You'.

THIS is how it's done:

I go to Mayo Clinic and have Medicare plus Blue Cross Supplement. Before that just Blue Cross and never been denied any test or consult for anything. They probably are not happy with the reimbursements but being a strong advocate for my own care I would be the first to complain if I was not getting great health care. I disagree with above statement that treatment is being withheld due to being on Medicare or Medcaid.

Thanks for filling in more of the picture for me! There are pros and cons for any system, I suppose, and you'll find people pushing the limits. I am not opposed to a nominal user fee per visit, subject to waiver for need, but overseen to prevent abuse. I think both systems have benefits, but drawbacks. I'm not sure if combining them to build hybrids is the answer either. My apologies to all Tattlers for my TLDR posts as I was given a masterclass in Global Healthcare basics!

I went to have a read through her comments. I actually thought most were very compassionate, only explaining how the misunderstanding occurred and the impression Jenny had given. Many apologies were also made to her. Some comments were inaccurate; there will always be trolls who just like attention-grabbing. Jenny made the explanation of thoracentesis quite clear. I have almost no previous exposure to cancer treatments, but even I understood the need to leave some fluid to try to avoid the pain, and why. I agree with @BCrowl that Jenny could have used less admonishing language in her video.

I think here, too, we must guard against building momentum against someone without basis, simply because group mentality has an energy of its own. I try to reflect and process and not get caught up in a sentiment sheerly through exposure to heightened emotions. It happens on YT, but it also can happen here via the same group process. We see it so often now in public discourse, so much so, it's used as a tool by some "influencers" to drive traffic through the use of offense and the outraged comments that predictably ensue, eg junglefairyland. It is a waste of our energy and kindheartedness, tbh, and insulting to have our emotions used in that manner. Also, now that I see the methods routinely used to try to attract viewers, I am simply going to have healthy skepticism, especially knowing that the mere process of videotaping and editing imputes a bias and selectiveness of what they're choosing to show us, whether it's intentional or not. We are not going to be given the full picture of their lives. I don't know if Jenny thought it completely through, for clickbait purposes, as she was filming or editing, I honestly doubt it. But, I do wholly agree with the advice from @Make sense of it! not to get emotionally or financially involved, it is not good for our mental health in this genre of SM. It's too one sided and the circumstances aren't the
Any poster commenting on medical care apart from general issues ...ie as in how much fluid etc. is really misguided. None of us are doctors and even if some poster is a doctor no one here knows her exact medical condition and what proper protocol is. This is what happens when cancer influencers come on YT. I think there is value in sharing knowledge but not specific care commentary. As in the case of TT and the "wait and watch" That was a bit more general and we could all have opinions...I think there was more info and rationale shared by the doctors that was not shared and therefore no one really could give solid advice. On that one we will never know how it impacted the final surgery required.
if that was aimed it at me I’m not misguided. I agree with her pulmonary doctor that aspirating too much fluid in one go can cause pain. Watch and wait wasn’t general discussion, it was medical advice given to her. Her surgeon was comfortable waiting.

Regarding the Jenny incident. I think she may have heard from City of Hope about what was said about her being denied pain meds. The story she gave today was so different, and on top if that she seemed to throw the blame on the commenters who were simply defending her. Now today her finding fault with the commenters makes no sense.Yes, it would be perfectly understandable that being in pain she may have not made herself clear at the time. But that is not what she is saying happened. I can't blame folks for being upset about the turnabout and scolding . It makes no sense. Even if Jenny is confused because of the fog of pain and meds, Kyle certainly understands what really happened.

Thats why I think the hospital wasn't pleased and Jenny is now trying to flip the script.

Boy, all this discussion about Jenny kind of shows folks are really drifting away from Tiffany.
I am just watching this whole thing open mouthed. I gave my thoughts about Jenny, but I think she really has overplayed her hand in this game. She lied about her procedure and so sorry to say, the memory of internet is large. Scolding the viewers who were very concerned about her and also were cross on the hospital is really not appropriate in this matter. And no, even when someone is very ill will make obnoxious behavior right.
This was not a very good move that will cost her subscribers.

Jennys viewers have shot up in the last 24 hours, which makes me believe that many of her newer viewers actually thrive off drama. They are bored of T's journey now and have jumped ship.
Jennys last video has a staggering 2300 comments on it and 83,000 views.
I see the one that used to write nonsense on Tiffanys videos about T making up having cancer, is now writing the same nonsense to Jenny. I think only an idiot would dream up that T or Jenny don't really have cancer.

Tiffany who?

The Jenny drama makes me sad. I really like her but it's clear she really misled her followers in that initial video...and then to scold people for being concerned? Of course people would blame he doctors because she made a big deal about how they were going to give her pain meds and then didn't. Smh. I'm going to watch her videos with a much more critical eye now.

Maybe it's just me but I find it strange that COH would give Jenny a jingle that morning and tell her to "come on down". Not everyone would be able to drop everything and run over for a last-minute hectic appointment!! Kyle had already taken the day off work to let Jenny "stay under a rock" that day, otherwise she might have not been able to get there. And I wonder how long she would have had to wait for the proper room to become available,. Knowing that the pain had been 10/10 in the past why couldn't she have waited? The family members (who deserve a shout-out) were taking care of the kids so that wasnt the issue. I think she said something like... the pleural effusion needed to be removed ASAP as it was spreading. But the effusion had already been ther for awhile and waiting a few more hours was not going to change her outcome. (I wonder if anyone from COH DID see the comments calling the pulmonologist cruel and inhumane.)

You raise a good point there. It's something I was taught many years ago when I was volunteering with AIDS patients (at that point, they were still getting very sick and dying young). We were taught not to either condone or condemn any difficult behaviour, but also that their terminal illness was NO excuse for undesirable behaviour and that if there was any verbal or other sorts of abuse directed at us, we should get out quick. I still try to adhere to this today, but from the opposite perspective, because I'm currently struggling with some challenging health stuff and it would be very easy to take out my frustrations on my kind husband.

So sorry you are going through a tough patch, I'm sure your husband understands. I spent years in chronic pain from undiagnosed adenomyosis, I know I was a cow at times as the pain drove me to distraction. Unless you have gone through it, it is difficult to understand how pain affects every aspect of your daily life.
I do hope you can get some respite xxx

I have been kindly given some stats on Jenny and TT for comparison in the last 30 days. Sharing them here as it answers what l thought to be the case, a mass influx to Jenny's channel, small exodus from TT and noted views on Jenny at 1.6m in past 30 days is exceeding TT at 1.1m. With this jump in views, subs etc comes the usual pitfalls of SM unfortunately the nutters come too, and if they are predominantly from TT it explains alot alot.

I'm still surprised there hasn't been even more people jumping ship off Tiffany's sub list. 300 is not as many as I would have expected based on the remarks written here regarding her current content.
I am also surprised, you can't even say that people just don't unsub because 1.1m views in past 30 days for TT is not nothing, but 300 isn't what l would consider a massive loss. Anyway just on Jenny, per 1million views You Tubers earn on average $10,000-$12,000 USD a sudden monthly pay cheque of $16,000 USD is probably money like her and Kyle have never seen in their life!! I have a much better picture of what's going on over there, the emotional thumbnails, the clickbait, the tweaking of her content 👍

Thank you very much, Scratty! I think I've got post-Covid complications, unfortunately. It's a sneaky little virus.
