Fresh Start? (Little summary of "What's Next" (May 11, 2023))
Tiffany is driving alone to buy bread for Amma and Matt. She says she feels a bit lost and without structure and purpose, and that that may change when she starts working and volunteering. During her mental musings in the car, she also said she was thinking about moving, but she did not say where. First thought I had when I heard that: What neighbors did she piss off that she wants to get away?!
She said she might want a fresh start 'in a new place, in a new area'... Go ahead, finish the thought, Tiffany...with a new boyfriend?? Doesn't this remind us of when she moved after the breakup with Tiroy?
It's OK to want a fresh start, but what puzzles me is her insistence on 'I' and not 'we', (i.e., Tiffany and Matt) She never once said that she Matt are considering moving, but that she feels like having a fresh start. There was no mention of how that will be financed or how that would affect Matt. Maybe she wants to move closer to Matt's work so that he doesn't have to take the train every day, but she did not mention that. She said she wants to talk to one of her former managers, a woman who she says is a friend of hers.
She says that something is missing in her life, with reference to a purpose. Of course, now in the introduction to the video, she wrote: I know in this video I felt a bit lost but I defo snapped out of it when I read all your comments in my last video. So what was the purpose of this video if the info in it is already outdated?! So, did she read the comments on her last video after posting this video?
Purpose of video 'What's Next': To show supposed outdated thoughts, to show that she is able to drive on her own, to show she enjoyed going to buy bread for Amma and darling, and snacks 'That I like' (emphasizing the 'I', seriously!!) to show how she purchased a round pillow at Ikea with Matt, to show how eating a bite out of Matt's hotdog from Ikea reminded her of her childhood. She closes the video by asking for movie suggestions that both she and Matt could watch together.
Why not 'Dumb and Dumber' ?
On that note, I almost forgot...Tiffany said that Amma had bought a small, single-serving-sized frying pan (which looked like it was made out of cast iron) that Tiffany now wants to use. Tiffany didn't know what material it was made out of AFTER LOOKING at the bottom of the pan. Tiffany proceeded to fry an egg in it, and was surprised that the CAST IRON HANDLE was hot. She said she doesn't think that she has 'enough experience' to use a pan like that.
Again, 'Dumb and Dumber' is appropriate. Though, in Tiffany's case, the 'dumb' and the 'dumber' both refer to HER.
thankfully the wise farmer didn’t allow Tiff to take one of his sheep home haha. T is better off sticking with those gonks she calls cute.
I do feel bad for Jenny though. If these relatively minor procedures are causing her 10/10 pain, she has hell to go through later. There’s only so much pain medication a person can get.
