I’m shocked at how she’s turned this into her being the victim. Also “scared to leave the house on my own” wtf?! Who does she think she is?! A celebrity?!

I’m sorry I know I may be insensitive but this is honestly laughable. Gemma really went out of her way to publicly shame/bully someone through their stories and then when that person stood up for themself and put them in their place, Gemma claims being a victim and starts advocating for mental health, where was this consideration when you were coming for a pregnant woman with very little facts? All of which could have been avoided is Gemma didn’t decide to publicly get on her keyboard warrior high horse and instigate this whole thing to begin with. You can’t make this up. The fact that they’re still limiting their comments to control the narrative really says everything. Oh and finallyyyy, so it’s ok for them to block people when they don’t want to deal with dms but when other influencers do it to them it’s ok to contact them off other accounts to ask why lol (and then have no shame to then post said dms to their stories)
How can you tell that they’re limiting comments? Just out of interest!

Yeeees totally agree!! In my opinion she should’ve held her hands up and admitted she got the wrong end of the stick and shouldn’t of jumped to conclusions so quickly which resulted in the pile on of the vit D lady! Clearly Gemma has little self awareness. The ‘poor me’ rhetoric that she’s displaying absolutely stinks! No need to make it about herself at all.

Can’t believe I’ve only just found this thread. I like most people on here really like Sam, but I think Gemma is just so hungry for it all, it irritates me. she seems to have so much support, with family, nursery, cleaner etc which good for her, but I then hate the way she quotes how many days it’s been since she was last on her own! She’ll literally do a selfie saying “home alone, it’s been 16 days since I’ve been alone”. Like who does that, counts the bloody day. They are your children! Try counting since March, when you haven’t had a days break!
However I do think Vit D has completely over reacted. Why did she like 2 of his posts? They were posts being racist to Jewish people, so in my view, if you like them, you are agreeing, no? She knew Wiley was being racist, so I just dont understand why she liked them. I think Gemma was right to just ask the question to her, but it all seems to have backfired.
also, when she says she was scared to leave her house last week, was that when you was sunning yourself on holiday with friends? bit of odd statement.

ooh yes I didn’t realise that she’d completely contradicted herself with the “scared to leave the house” line- and then said she was in Majorca! I agree, she has so much support and doesn’t even realise. That’s what started to grate on me. She acts like it’s normal to be in Selfridges in central London at 9am on a Wednesday, shopping on your own. Or it’s normal to go to Ikea 3 time’s a week on your own. The “solo parenting” also really bugs me, which she bangs on about when her husband is working away. She’s such a drip but she thinks it’s normal.

The Vit D Project was forwarded a post by her sister from Wiley's account which said "Wiley has been dropped from his record label." That's what she saw and she liked it without listening to what was being said in the video.
An oversight, yes. But I think what she was trying to say is that if you follow The Vit D Project, you'd have given her the benefit of the doubt or approached the situation differently.
Gemma was actively seeking out Black women, as she asked more than one, what their response was to Wiley's racist tweets were. Completely racist. When Tommy Robinson and Katie Hopkins spout their crap, who goes looking for other White influencers to speak up and overtly use their platform to criticise.
To message her from different accounts too when she wasn't getting engagement and to want to know why etc, just absolute entitlement.
To put up the posts she has shows that she's learnt nothing. To insinuate she's been bullied just shows her entitlement massively. It's a shame she couldn't use at least some of her time away to recognise where she may have been out of order.
I'm not saying The Vit D Project isn't without fault, she really should check what she's liking and she could have apologised for not doing so, but Gemma was vile in that whole situation.

but it’s so true about the Tommy Robinson thing, I posted someone’s comment in another thread that basically said how they only wanted reactions from black women, definitely backfired big time. Only positive is, TIM migbt actually have to talk that talk now and always make sure that they are using their platforms to speak out about injustices in the world and not just £10 face creams to try and prove they’re relatable and not living a life above their followers. I don’t follow anymore but I think TIM might have had its shelf life. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks that their content has been very boring and shallow for the past 6 months at least. The Instagram and “influencer” bubble generally seems to have burst and isn’t what it used to be. And if “thick skinned” Gemma isn't going to show her kids, her life or her family, then are we just going to be bombarded with face creams and jeans? Their account will appear even more unrelatable if so. It was good while it lasted but I can’t see a way forward for them now.
