Wilf let the pressure get to him and lost his head at the end, shouting and ranting.

Kieron did it so well.

I'm glad Aaron, Hannah and Meryl won.

The best thing about this show was the varied contestants; none of your usual Big Brother/Love Island nonsense.

I look forward to a second series.

However... will any of you watch, say, the American version?

I won't be watching other versions, certainly no the American one. I just know how American it will be, it will be more ott with forced drama, loads of shouting, sob stroies etc

I do understand why people say much is scripted/staged. I have my suspicions too, If it is its done well compared to some though.

Wilf described the two ways he could win

1. Throw Kieran under the bus and hope they end the game

2. Work with Kieran to get Meryl out first. She's a faithful so then get Aaron out next. Then you're left with one faithful (Hannah) and two traitor's so the Traitors win overall and split the money!

If Wilf had chosen version 2 he’d have won half the money but greed got the better of him and he ended up with nothing. Brilliant!

The difference with the Traitors is the range of ages, you don't get that on the apprentice. And big brother/live island is more reality show where you get to know people well over a period of time which helps much more in the influencer/celeb world. You don't really get to 'know' any of fhe contestants on the traitors in the same way. Yes the Traitors has been a success, but are many people that bothered about contestants now it's over.

Traitors is basically a game show, and maybe closer to something like bake off I terms of how they recruit contestants (which still gets its share of in it for the fame people admittedly)

I agree that someone like Aaron I could see on love Island in a looks pov, he doesn't seem to have the personality that would want that. It could of course be an act, but on the face of it he doesn't have that same love Island vibe

I disagree. The show is called The Traitors, surely betrayal and backstabbing is entirely the point, even if it is among the traitors themselves. If I was a traitor who had just been stabbed in the back by a fellow traitor, I would absolutely do the same thing Kieran did. Surely it's the whole basis of the show.
Totally agree. And wilf only had himself to blame - he made Kieran be a traitor, did he really think he’d be quite happily thrown under the bus so wilf could win it for himself?! Don’t think so. Wilf massively overplayed and in the end wasn’t thinking tactically but greedily.

Kieran never trusted Wilf, it was obvious because he knew Wilf had turned on Alyssa and Amanda. So Kieran was ready for it. And responded. Wilf should've backed Kieran to the hilt and split the prize.

He might have gotten away with it if he didn't totally lose it after Kieran wrote his name down. Liked tried to underplay it and joke it etc. Instead of having a meltdown.

But there was?
I could see Aaron on Love Island. And Alex.
And Aisha.
Almost any of them are similar in character to at least one person from the many, many series of Big Brother.

I don't think so, they are just young and the age demographic for love island

I get wanting a varied and ordinary cast but that is going to include younger people too for it to be truly diverse all of them seem very down to earth and normal, I can't comment on Aisha tho as she was there for like 5 minutes

I'm confused...

Re version 2 scenario. If they're allowed to keep playing, why would Hannah agree to end the game at that point, ie without finding a traitor?

They knew that there was at least one traitor left (who murdered Andrea), so surely there would be another banishment at that point and I just can't see 2 traitors ending up splitting the money. I couldn’t see Wilf & Kieran both voting to get rid of Hannah so they could share the prize...not likely.....so they'd be left with one traitor and one faithful, so one traitor keeps it all.

In my head that makes sense. Am I missing something?!

I really think in future series that traitors can vote against each other to be banished, but should be explicitly forbidden from leaving incredibly obvious clues like Kieran did.
Taking away the personalities of who did or did not deserve to win, I think it undermines the brilliance of the whole series. Where do you draw the line of how obvious to make who is a fellow traitor?
I think how Kieran played it was fantastic and completely in keeping with the spirit of the show - a show about messing with people's minds, having the rug pulled from under you and trying to second-guess people's intentions and motives.

The rules have always been quite frustratingly vague so it's all a bit woolly and difficult to know whether or not he was technically completely within the rules but I think his parting gift made for a perfect exit.

I think part of the reason that people didn't like it (and I saw last night he was getting a bit of stick on his insta about it), was because the others hadn't done similar, so it was extra shocking. During the course of the series lots of people felt that there wasn't enough deviousness, ingenuity and creativity with the gameplay....well here you go!

I honestly thought it was amazing and totally selfless really. Everyone else that got banished sat there and tried to deflect to someone else. He just completely owned it and thought tactically. Apart from Aaron the rest of them treat him like shit in that bit after the task. He’s a mature guy he’s not stupid he knew he was a gonner but he also knew from the moment Wilf chose him he was wilfs sacrificial lamb. What would anyone prefer in that situation? Someone that had deceived every single player to walk away with £100k or 3 walk away with £33k. Also psychologically it been split wouldn’t feel like you were completely loosing. £100k is a life changing amount for a lot of people. £33k is still life changing especially if you’ve got debts/ money troubles/ wanting to start a new business or a deposit for a house etc but for a lot of people it’s a new car, a few holidays, some designer stuff etc in this day it doesn’t go as far as you’d think.

I did love the way he tried to spin it that he had handpicked and kept the last 3 so that if he didn’t win, they did.
No, you’d kept them because you had completely hoodwinked them until Kieran went rogue and you over played your hand :D

yeah will took away kieran's (and everyone else's pretty much) chance of winning and would've taken all the money, kieran knew he wasn't going to win and made it so the other 3 got a chance

Will was very clearly only thinking about himself and fair enough it's a game show and a lot of money to win but by that point having spent time with the others and knowing how much they needed the money too I would've felt absolutely horrible winning if I was him, I think if he did win the ending would've gone differently and none of them would be friends with him now

Will also betrayed all the other traitors and thought he could just do the same again, he really lost it towards the end he didn't need to be pushing for kieran the other 3 were already thinking it was him, no one was suspicious of will either him and kieran could've worked together to try and push the others towards meryl instead but kieran had to write someone's name down and obviously he was going to put wills down as he had made it very clear he was going to turn against him...that's where he fucked up he was so focused on trying to get the others to get kieran out so he'd be the last one remaining and they'd all think there were no traitors left, he forgot that kieran gets a vote and kieran knows everything
