When Philip retired from public life in 2017 he went to live on a cottage on the Sandringham estate, so he and the Queen were no longer living together. It’s alleged Penny was living with him there, I think I read that on mumsnet so it could be nonsense of course but apparently it’s common knowledge they were a couple. Then when lockdown happened they were both bubbled together at Windsor, but whether or not that was their choice or it was just decided by the suits for logistical reasons is unclear.

I don’t think we will find out the truth until after the Queen dies herself. I once heard that Rupert Murdoch likes the Queen but hates the rest of the Royal Family, and intends to publish all the dirt he has on them after after she passes away.

It’s a tight race between to two to see who will outlive each other!

Is there a reason why the only grandchildren who are walking behind the coffin are William, Harry and Peter? It’s a bit of an odd selection considering there’s Zara, Beatrice, Eugenie, Louise and James.

Also very touching of the Queen going against protocol and going behind the coffin instead of in front which is what she’s supposed to do. I suppose for the very first and last time, she’ll be one step behind him instead.

My guess is that Peter is the oldest grandchild and Wills / Harry are the heir's children...

Could anyone read the card for the flowers on the coffin?

Bit of a piss take that they made such a thing about there only being 30 people allowed to attend and no singing when you have all the military units and the choir people singing. I get that he’s royal and that he’s more important than others who have had to bury loved ones during the pandemic (including myself, we would have been fined if we had all these extras) but this whole narrative that they are having to suffer the same restraints as the rest of us because of the restrictions is bull.

Edwards little family unit seems lovely together

I don't agree, As they are outside and distanced.
